I went to bed at 7:30 last night. DH had to work an overnight shift (yay for overtime) and he wanted to get in a nap before he went to work, so I just laid down with him. I woke up at 7 this morning. That is nearly 12 hours of sleep. And the sad thing? It's 9:30 and I feel tired.
I am on prometrium (progesterone supplement) and one of the side effects is drowsiness. I feel tired all day, but about an hour after I take the pill it's like I must go to sleep. That's okay with the pill at night, but the one in the morning isn't so awesome. It makes for a less than productive work day.

I feel your pain lady!
With Nolan I was on the oral supps and the vaginal ones. I could fall asleep anywhere, anytime.
This time, I was only on the vaginal supps so it was MUCH better. Those pills are killer!
Our crazy, wonderful life
I don't drink caffeine.
And not because I am pregnant, I just stopped drinking it a year or so ago. It would perk me up too much, so I stopped drinking it. Well, I should say I don't drink coffee or soda with caffeine. I will drink tea on occasion.
I can't imagine doing both!! Your progesterone levels must have been through the roof with all the supplements.
And I must say that it really gives me comfort knowing you had to take the supplements with Nolan. He is so darn cute, it just really gives me hope that this can all work out.
My only hope is that my baby will be at least 3 months old when I go back to work. I am due at the beginning of May and the school year won't start again until August 1. I am considering taking another month off and coming back to work after labor day. So LO would then be 4 months old. That's my hopeful plan. We'll see how it all works out.
I am a big believer in them! Some doctors will tell you they don't help, but my levels were so low with him (3.9) and I was basically told to prepare to m/c. Well, you can see that didn't happen! So, I'm a believer!! You'll be fine, *hugs*

Oh wow! I had no idea that it was that low. Mind was 11.3, which is in the range of "acceptable" but it was on the low end. With my history she wanted to play it safe. I am hoping to decrease the dosage when I am 10 weeks and then stop it at 13 weeks. Right now I take 200mg twice a day by mouth. I am hoping to drop down to 100mg at 10 weeks. But, I'll do whatever I need to do to keep this pregnancy going.
You are building a person! That takes work!
I slept 12+ hours a day until I was 3 months along. It was summer. Some days I slept 18 hours. For real.
