With one month to go until my due date, I still need to make curtains for the nursery. I measured the windows. Adding a bit of yardage to account for the cutting inadequacies of Jo-Anns employees, I need to buy 6 1/2 yards of fabric. There are four windows in the nursery. I actually love that about our house, but only when I'm not buying/making window coverings.
Re: So. Many. Windows.
My Valentine Bookends (2~13~13, 2~15~09)
I changed my mind while out shopping. I found curtains at Target on clearance cheaper than I could make them. I just have to hem them.
Oh fudge... I only grabbed one set. I needed two. #@$%#
Good luck!
Our house is 90+ years old and has walls of windows. Two walls in the dining room and one in the living room are like this. I love all of the natural light, but we'd have to sell a kidney to afford drapes. Fortunately, the previous owner left the custom drapery. They're not the prettiest things, but they'll do until we move.
We went from an apartment w/ two windows and a sliding door to a house with literally 33 windows.
I feel your pain. My master has a bank of windows 108" long. the same wall of windows is in my craft room aka Dh's home office. So thankful they are at the BACK of the house!
Good luck!
