Just moved here...

Hello fellow nesties,

My husband and I recently moved up to the Seattle area from San Diego this past July.  We are eager to find a community of people to get together with on the weekends and find new friends!

We live in Federal Way (about the halfway point for both my husband's commute south to Fort Lewis and my commute up to Bellevue).  We are not military, but my husband is a contracted civilian for the army and works on post.

I'm 23 and my husband is 26... We both love to get out of the house on the weekends and love spending time with other people.  I think that is our biggest heartache with being new up here... we haven't met anyone our age!

I would love to meet other newlyweds/couples in the FW area to meet up for dinner, playdates with our dogs, find a church to go to, or just hang out with!

I look forward to hearing from you!

~Kristen

  • Welcome!!!

How are you liking it so far?

H and I live in Kent, so pretty close to you. I think there are some other girls on here in the area too. And I think many of us are open to meeting new "couple" friends.

  • Welcome!  DH and I live in North Seattle, so we're a little far, but there are several Nesties in the FW-ish area Smile

What kind of dog do you have?  I have an almost 2 year old Chihuahua/Terrier mix, and I love him to pieces!

Hi!  My husband has been up here the past few years and has acclimated just fine, but my life literally did a 180 the day we got married, as I had to say goodbye to all of my friends that night because the day after our honeymoon, we moved me up from San Diego to WA.  I love how pretty it is up here, but I am REALLY missing my social life or "girl time."  I feel like I am slowly settling in and I know everything will fall into place eventually.

eek, moving here like that must have been super hard. How long have you been here? maybe you said that already. I'm sure eventually everything will work out.....but it's definitely hard to make new friends in a totally new place.

I moved here when I was 13. I grew up in Vegas....and still muss the almost constant sunshine. My H moved here at 19 and is from NY. We have been married just over two months and together for 2.5yrs.

Things we like doing here.....Idk. I think we do pretty general things...nothing really specific to here. Movies, dinner, drinks, etc.
