What are some causes of a missed period...
besides being preggo? I'm having all kinds of period symptoms (cramps, bloating, tender boobs, cravings, mood swings) but am 12 days late. I'm trying not to freak myself out here and think its cancer or something.
Re: What are some causes of a missed period...
stress, resulting in late ovualtion.
although, I usually have all the PMS signs, plus being late right before my BFPs. ;-)
Illness
Stress
Drastic change in diet/Weight loss
Hormones being off for other reasons (thyroid, etc.)
at 12 days late you won't need first morning pee.
Ditto. Don't leave us hanging.
It is, of course, extremely early yet but according to the test last night and the one this morning, I am pregnant! Also, to my high school friend who reads this board: DO NOT SAY A WORD ANYWHERE TO ANYONE. If this doesn't stick then we don't want a lot of real life people knowing.
We went and bought prenatal vitamins, What to Expect, & Belly Laughs, and I know we need to make a dr's appt to get that confirmation. I have heard that some won't see you until you're 8+ weeks along, which I am pretty sure we're not at yet. I would roughly estimate 4 wks. I mean, its not likely I got preg on the day my period started in August, I'm guessing prob around the middle. Do I go ahead and call and schedule for a few weeks out?
SO, until I see the doctor, what do I need to do for baby?
I'd go ahead and make an appt, some doctors book up so far in advance.
No need to do anything different other than the obvious- quit alcohol and drink lots of water.
If you are 2 weeks late, then you are probably closer to 6 weeks. Period starts, about 2 weeks later you ovulate. About 2 weeks after that your period should start again.
DUH! Hello, where was my math?!?! You're right!
awwww, here's to a happy and healthy 9 (or, well... 8ish) months! maybe i will see you again for pics one day ; )
(i think you were my bride in a previous life, right?)

Thank you!!
Yes, you did my wedding to XH on the beach in Galveston in '06! It poured that morning... I already thought about you for preggo/newborn pics
I stick with who I trust! If I ask now can I get the current price list instead of the new one that will be in effect in May '12? LOL
Woohoo! Congrats!
I agree with PP, you are probably almost 6 wks. Most doctors don't do a "confirmation" appt because normally HPTs are pretty reliable and virtually the same test they do in the office, unless they are sending you for a blood test.
I didn't open this post up until today and I'm so glad - I was on the edge of my seat while scrolling & reading for 30 seconds
Congratulations!
i loved your grandpa. i wanted to keep him for my own!
i'll give you a special deal if there's a second wedding, LOL!!!! you would be my first repeat wedding customer.
friends/family/past wedding clients always get a little something extra.
