If you read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo come in

Did you also read the other 2?  (The girl who played with fire and then the next one?)

My uncle said stop after the tattoo one ? the others weren?t good.  But he can be cranky mccrankerson and I don?t know that I have the same level of intellectual standards he does.

I really enjoyed the storyline between Lisbeth and Mikael and was left wanting more at the end of Tattoo? should I get the other two books to satisfy my craving?

  • I didn't.  Although I enjoyed reading the book, it just got too crazy and unbelievable and made me not want to read through another amazingly good book only to have it end up going bananas at the end again.

What part was that?  If anything I thought it was a wee bit predictable, but still enjoyable.

And while I appreciate L needed to end as an independent woman I really wanted the more cliched ending, lol.

  • YES! def. Read the other two.

I think the 3rd one was my favorite of the 3.

The whole sexually messed up brother.  Just too unbelievable, it was almost as if a totally different author took over and started writing the book toward the end.  Too "psychological thriller".

Agreed 100%.  The first book was great, but the second and third books blow it out of the water.  The third book was the best.  I devoured it over two days.

On a side note I saw a preview for the Hollywood version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo last night, and it looks great.  I have a very soft spot for the Swedish version of the books, but I will probably see the Hollywood version just because I want to see how they handle it.
