SS woes

Hey All. My husband and I have been searching for our perfect home since we returned from our honeymoon 8 months ago. Needless to say after looking at over 75 houses, we have found our perfect home! Big Smile The home is a SS but we are getting a fantastic deal (house was built in 2007 owners paid $450k and we are paying $300k). Since we gave them their asking price, we were out of atty review by 9/8. We already got the inspection out of the way and it came back with nothing wrong with the house. We were told that it should be assigned to a negotiator by 10 days. The sellers have their mortgage through BOA. Has anyone dealt with BOA for SS approval? I'm wondering how long the approval will take.

Right about now we are desperate to move! I'm just trying to get a round about estimate of when I can be FREE of my small 1 bedroom apt..lol

Re: SS woes

  • I haven't worked with BOA on a SS, but our good friends just did. It took 6 months and then fell through. I hope that doesn't happen to you. Good luck!
  • My SS siggy is from a BOA purchase.  We were supposed to close last Thur & right now are being held up because of our loan still being in USDA underwriting.  I think it went fairly quick..for a SS.
