How to make this wreath?

I'm trying to figure out how to make this weath. I found a tutorial just tying the ribbon around a styrofoam wreath form & turning/fluffing to fillin the spaces.

Think that's how this was made?

  • If I were going to replicate it (which I'm thinking about after seeing this post, its so cute) I think I would cut fabric into strips and tie it around a wire wreath form.  I hope that helps.

This. Use a clothes hanger and shape it. I made a wreath like this and used about 6" pieces, 1-1.5" wide. If I were making this, I'd do them thicker, and maybe an inch or two longer. Experiment with the size of the strip before you do a whole bunch, then hide the odd sized ones throughout the wreath.

I'm totally making this the next time I get to the big city to buy some burlap!!

  • I am actually making one right now.  I got a wreath frame for $2.99 at Michael's and am just cutting strips of fabric out and tying them onto the individual circles.

  • Here's another way: http://thediyshowoff.blogspot.com/2010/09/diy-fall-festival-and-easy-diy-fabric.html

I made several last year: one for fall, and two for Christmas.  It does get pretty time consuming depending on the size of the wreath.
