Change of meeting location if this is ok with you:
The corner of 8th and 34th (Tick Tock Diner) might be a better spot since thats where Amanda will be dropped off. Does that work for you?

Sorry so late girls! I took off today to get ready for the trip, and outside of two hours from 6-8am, I've been working!
The good part about that is that I get a vacation day back and I got to work in my pj's :-)
I've been trying to follow all of the threads this evening, and I think I understood some of the posts ok but here is what I was thinking:
Oh boy! I hate to be the odd woman out, but I was kind of hoping to go straight to the hotel and check-in, freshen up and leave my bags there. When I travel my first stop is usually my hotel - I kind of like to have that part out of the way.
I'd love to wait for Mel and meet up with everyone when we first arrive, of course, so that we can give each other a nice, warm "nestie" welcome :-) I'd just prefer to head to the hotel and take care of that stuff next.
Mel - If you'd like to go with Lisa and the girls to their hotel and then proceed as you girls discussed, that would be fine with me, really. We can make arrangements to hook up later. Just let me know :-)
I am so tickled...it's finally here!!!!
I thought that might be a possibility, I'm sure we can work whatever out. Danielle, Liz and I might be able to think of an idea on the ride up, and iron the details out when we all converge.
I think as Breanne had said in your post yesterday, we do not want to waste (too much) time when we should be having fun
Another thought had crossed my mind, that perhaps there might be some hungry travellers . . . I will be in Philly at lunchtime so I won't have any needs likely but others who leave earlier than I might be hungry for something upon arrival, so that might be a time killer before we get settled. Plus if we're meeting at 7pm for dinner then we will likely want something to eat beforehand. We do have two pregnant ladies amongst our group so I'd imagine they would be hungryApril 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
No worries :-)
If you guys have a plan worked out that makes sense, then that's totally OK
.
I'm a fairly seasoned traveler and have no problems heading off to my hotel and getting checked in and catching up with you guys a little later :-)
I'm thinking that once we all arrive and meet up, if you ladies want to go grab a bite or take advantage of those couple hours before dinner, then that would be great. We can make arrangements to meet up a little later. I'm bringing my Canon, a couple of lenses and my laptop along with me for the trip - and I'd prefer (for my comfort level) to get them checked in where I'm staying, even if I have to join up with the crew a little bit later.
Seriously, girls - no worries! I may lose a couple of hours, but we'll have all weekend!
DH & I at the Light Festival
yeah, i am probably going to need to get a bite to eat. i'm going to bring breakfast on the bus and maybe some snacks, but I know i will be STARVING when i get there!
i've programmed everyone's #'s into my phone, so we can make a game plan as to what we want to do.

I did too! Like a week ago. Excited much? :-)
I am not a seasoned traveler, but I'm fine as long as I can find my way which thankfully with GPS on phones is always possible! LOVE technology!
