New to South Jersey, Mom of a Toddler :) Need your Recomm's if possible
Hi Everyone, I also posted this on the bump. Looking for any good feedback that will help me 
My husband and I are new to New Jersey and will be living in South Jersey soon! We are from New York, but lived in N.C. for a few years recently and our baby girl was born there. I thought I would join this board to see if you could help teach me about the area and maybe make a few new friends. It is quite overwhelming! My husband and I are living with my in-laws in P.A., and we are moving soon to the Mt. Laurel area where my husband works next month. We are looking to move North of Mt. Laurel, somewhere in Burlington County. We hear the taxes are lower there than Camden. Trying to find a great house to rent! Our baby is turning 2 soon! And it's overwhelming starting some place new and not knowing anyone or anything to do there. I feel a little anxious because I'm a SAHM and I need to figure out (not only what town we're going to live in) - but doctors, pediatrician, hospital, preschool (she will be attending next year) and a great school district for the future, things to do with kids, etc. We are searching for a nice house to Rent - in the surrounding area. No more than a 35-40 minute drive from Mt. Laurel. Hopefully we will find something soon! If you could help me with any recommendations or things you love, I would greatly appreciate it! It would really save us a lot of time! Hope to hear from you and thank you!!

Still learning the area myself, but my husband and I bought a house in Magnolia, just a few towns over from Cherry Hill. It is a great little town (literally... it's only one mile by one mile) and seems very family friendly. We settled here because the property taxes were so low compared to other areas in Camden County. I know that there are quite a few houses for rent in this area.

I grew up in Mt. Laurel and can tell you that you are moving to a really nice area. My husband and I actually just bought a house in Williamstown, about 35 minutes away, and I am so happy to be getting back to that area. Mt. Laurel has an excellent public school system, that is actually why my parents moved there in the first place. Also, my mom works at Atrium Pediatrics in Marlton, which is right up the road from Mt. Laurel. I went to that practice for my entire childhood and my husband and I plan on bringing our kids there as well, when we have them. All of the doctors are fabulous and the office is run in a well-organized, professional manner. As far as things to do with your kids, there are a lot of options. When we were little, we loved going to Paws Farm, it is pretty inexpensive, I think, and a great place for kids to learn about animals, nature, etc. Another really fun thing for little kids is The Discover Museum in Cherry Hill. In the fall, Johnson's Farm in Medford is the best place for pumpkin picking, apple picking, etc. with hay rides for the little ones.

Jelly Bean Jungle is inexpensive and its like a chuckie cheese for younger kids (so they dont have big kids running them over , age appropriate toys)
