We have about a month before we close and move into the new house, so it's time to start packing. I have this irrational fear that something might go wrong at the last minute and I'm going to be stuck with a house that's 3/4s packed up. Arggg

Get on it!
The alternative - everything goes right and you are stuck with an unpacked house would be a huge pain in the neck.
We started packing up after our offer was accepted since we knew the house appraisal would be fine as would our loan application. The inspection was an unknown, but we were pretty confident it wouldn't reveal anything that would make us walk for the price we were getting the home for.
We started with things that are rarely used (seasonal decor, china, crystal, serving pieces, winter wardrobe, etc.). It really helped to have that done before the massive packup.
