Foreign Film Night

Okay, so BF is out of town and it's me and the puppy.  I'm off relatively early from work and I'm on a mission to make some baked portabello mushrooms and rice and enjoy a bottle of wine.  Because I'm 'sappy romance chick', I'm making it a foreign film night and am watching one of my faves: Am?lie.  Haven't had a night like this in ages!

Do you do this? Film faves and recommendations? Hello, Friday night :)

Re: Foreign Film Night

  • I'm very lucky in that my DH loves all kinds of movies and believe it or not Amelie is one of his favorite foreign films too. We don't specifically have foreign film nights though.

  • This sounds neat! We have 'family night' on Friday, that sometimes is a movie at home (or the theater); but is usually poker or some kind of card game. We were talking about getting Fanny and Alexander for our next home movie night.

  • It's not too sappy (well, it's more of an homage to youth than romance) but I recently saw L'Auberge Espagnole and loved it.
