My H and I will be celebrating out 3 year anniversary on Monday and things have really changed. It's been very different for about 6 weeks. I understand that I am very busy with work and gone often but doesn't the distance make the heart fonder?!? He use to have his hands all over me and make sexy comments. Now I try at night to get some attention and get him aroused and I get nothing, just that he's tired or no comment. Even having a normal conversation with him has gotten hard, I get short yes or no's and thats it. I dont know what's going on or how to handle this absence. Any advice would be great, I've run out of ideas!!
Re: Two Different Worlds
Agree. I would sit down with him and have a real conversation with him, dont let him get away or just answer "yes/no." I know that may be hard, but it sounds like you need to do it sooner rather than later. Also, mention counciling, its not for crazy people like most seem to think.
agreed! gotta crack him open and get him talking...play 20 ?s in a car ride just to get some conversation flowing? the playful-ness might catch him off guard...also if ur work trips allow, take him with you! lol sneaky hotel sex=horny teenager feelings...counseling is also a good option, but you have to be careful how you present it...men get all macho in general ab that...sad but overall pretty true...set up a day all ab him, dont tell him whats up just do a bunch of little things (and maybe some big ones) that you know he loves and appreciates...i know u work alot and so ur prolly tired too and could use some tlc...maybe itll be an eye opener
sorry im rambling, thought id spit out a few ideas...hope it works out..its probably just missing you, feeling neglected...good luck! happpy early anniversary!
I understand you, I am a stay at home mom and a full time student, and DH works 100 hours a week sometimes so it is hard on all of us, but mostly on us as a couple. I barely get any conversations just uh hu, yes, no, and an I love you that sounds very robotic sometimes.
We went out on a date last week (haven't been out in months) and it helped a lot just a dinner without our daughter and a drive an conversation that was nothing serious helped. We are trying to find some balance on things and I am trying to be patient about communication and not push him but it is hard sometimes because he is also my best friend and I want to talk to him. If you are having thoughts of whether there is someone else be straight forward about that first and go from there. If not, then still take it slow and try and get some alone time.
