Sure Cuts a lot and Cricut?

I just bought a cricut and have been googling to get info on cartridges, etc. It looks like you can no longer buy Sure Cuts A Lot for cricut; is there another program that is compatible with the cricut?

Those cartridges are pretty pricey, so I'd like to find some online downloads if possible. Thanks! :)

    None of the 3rd party software is sold with the Cricut plugin anymore.  It's said that you can find the plugin online though.

    It is transferable by USB, right?  I have the software but there was nothing to plug in...somehow I got it before the legal battle...

    It seems to be complex...or maybe I have MTC...either way...I'm a little intimadated..

    In this case, 'plug-in' refers to a computer/software thing, not a physical cord you plug in. HOWEVER, there is a physical cord that goes from the computer to the Cricut. In my case, I used an old printer USB cord.

    OP, have you looked into getting the Cricut software? I believe it only works on PCs.
