BR return policy

H bought a pair of clearance jeans at BR 2 weeks ago. He wore them for the first time last night and the main button broke off the front, there's no way to fix it because the button looks like it broke in half. He threw away the reciept and tags a while ago. Does anyone know if I can still return the jeans or get store credit for them? The website was less than helpful.

I would think so (I'm guessing BR is Banana Republic?)... if it was Target, no, but I bet they would let you return them. But if they've gone on sale since then, you will probably get the lowest price.

purchased with a credit card or check? (psh, who uses checks?) they can look up the receipt. if it was recent, they can have the store tailor fix it.

ETA: by fixing it, i mean sew a new button on.

Yay thanks! I just called and they said they can look it up on our cc. Minor side vent: I don't know why h strays from the brands that fit him well and hold up well for his body type. Wen he tries to do something on his own it ends up as more work for me. Grrr.

same. i hate the clearance shirts etc h buys from ross etc...they don't fit him well, they're big and baggy, ugly, and a reason they are on clearance. he says "it was only $5"....yeah $5 for an ugly shirt isn't a good deal in my book.
