My birthday is May 11 and it's a Friday so we're planning on going early Thursday morning and coming home on Saturday afternoon, maybe after lunch. I'm hoping the Cubs are home that weekend so we can go to a game, then everything else we can plan closer to the date. I'm completely content with a Cubs game for my 40th birthday rather than a huge party at home. And if some of the A10 girls can GTG with me that will make it all the more special! 
Cubs games are SOO fun! You'll enjoy that!
Hopefully we can do a Saturday meet up if you do a Friday game
We'll definitely figure something out! I went to a daytime Cubs game once when my friend Deb lived in Chicago but we didn't stay for the whole thing because she scheduled us a spa visit that same day.
If they're in town you & DH should definitely join us at the game! It's going to be Mike and me, my sister and BIL and possibly BIL's brother and his GF. I was thinking whichever day we don't go to the game will be the hoidy toidy family birthday dinner at Brazzaz (which I told my sister if I'm all paid off on CCs by then I will treat as a thank you for dropping everything and coming to Chicago for my birthday; a lot in part because I don't want them to spend that kind of money on food and Brazzaz is expensive!!!).
I'm going to wait & buy my train tickets closer to the date. If it falls on a weekend that we're supposed to have Amanda I'll most likely end up getting an early train home so we have time to pick her up for the night. Otherwise I'll book a later train to where we can leave closer to dinner time & have an extra day to spend. I'll keep you in the loop for sure!!!
