Baking Sunday
So today I tackled something that I've been wanting to make for a long time: baked jelly donuts. I made pear & fig preserves on Friday and then decided to tackle the donut part tonight. They look a little like cinnamon sugar hamburger buns, but they taste amazing. Oddly enough, they taste a little like coffee cake, similar texture too. I have to admit, the cinnamon sugar doesn't stick nearly as well when they're not deep fried, but I'll take lumpy, non uniform cinnamon sugar over a deep fried anything.

mmmmmm pear and fig preserves! I'm not a big donut person, but those preserves on some toast sound amazing!
I did a lot of cooking yesterday but no baking. Baking is dangerous for me because then I eat it all
