Emmy Lead Actor in a Drama (sp)
I AM SO EXCITED FOR KYLE CHANDLER!
I just wish that Connie Britton had also won. And I would have loved to have seen FNL take the big prize. But Kyle Chandler's win was the highlight of my night! I just kind of wish he would have thanked Connie Britton, although I think maybe that was what he was saying as they cut to commercial, after he realized his oversight.

Clear Eyes, Full Hearts Can't Lose!! I cheered loudly when he won. And I do think he was trying to thank Connie when they were cutting to commercial. As much as I love me some Jon Hamm, I think Kyle Chandler (and the show) definitely deserved to win.
Oh, and yay that Minka Kelly got to hand him that award. You could tell she was so excited for him.
my read shelf:
SO excited Coach Taylor (he will forever be Coach Taylor to me) won!
I just wish all this mad-love for the series that has surfaced recently was around a couple of years ago...
I was so happy too!! I also wish Connie had won though even though I love Julianna and the Good Wife. But with FNL gone, I wanted it for Connie so badly.
And I think he realized to thank his wife and/or Connie (because he looked down where they were both sitting) and you could tell he was still talking but they turned his mic off.

I screamed when Kyle Chandler won. I was so excited! I also wanted Connie Britton and Friday Night Lights to win. Even though I watch Mad Men, I think I'm pretty much over it. I do think, though, in retrospect, I was a fool to ever think that a show about football in Texas could ever best the snob appeal of a show like Mad Men.
My possibly flameworthy opinion is that people like the idea of liking that show---they think it makes them seem hip and suave and knowing, liking Mad Men, like it gives them some cachet.
I loved most of the wins on that show---Melissa McCarthy, Jim Parsons, Julie Bowen, Barry Pepper, Ty Burrell, FNL and Modern Family... I'm so over 30 Rock and the rest of the NBC schlock, er, block. I did roll my eyes a bit at the overdone and repetitive wins for Daily Show with Jon Stewart, whom I loathe, and Amazing Race.
PS Kate Winslet is one of my favorite actresses, but oh my gosh, she is so mannered and over-the-top when she accepts the awards. It's kinda gross. When she asked for her dad to whistle at the Oscars and then did this arm sweep looking for him, it was sooooooo theatrical. (hard to explain)
Kate Winslet does do someshitty acceptance speeches. lol
Bummed about Amazing Race and Jon Stewart winning. As Mad Men.
The Emmys get SO boring when the same show wins year after year. I'm convinced that most of the academy doesn't even watch the friggin shows.
