Ew. Smell of smoke.

H and I have some clothes that reek of smoke right now. They've been hanging up in the hall bath since last night and I doused them with febreeze, but it still smells awful.

The entire hallway is starting to stink up now too.

Does anyone have any remedies for getting the smoke smell out of clothes? Washing them isn't an option right now.

Assuming these clothes can be washed at a later time - yes just sprinkle and rub in some baking soda.

I've done this combination for getting the smell of gas out of clothes.

no joke, just put them in the dryer, no need to wash or anything! And from that, I also learned that blow drying your hair (again, not even washing) can get rid of the smell!

I usually put them on the balcony for a day or two. (Worked on my leather jacket back in the day when they allowed smoking in bars and restaurants. Wow, I don't miss that.)
