Last note I pinkie swear this time ![]()
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who donated or held drives with their moms groups. You Nesties are amazing.
We collected 20,266 diapers yesterday- our goal was 15,000.
It was wonderful to see Lilygirl, Pagas and Rayskit (and her mom) there.
I know some of you had diapers but couldn't make it yesterday. We are going to continue to collect them through this week. So if we can meet sometime this week, I'd be happy to pick them up.
I had the pleasure of sitting with the development director of SEARCH Homeless Services yesterday and she was taken aback by all of your generosity. She mentioned that they get diaper donations sporadically throughout the year but never at this magnitude and never so much so that they can cover their placement families for the entire year.
You guys did that and I am grateful.
Re: Diaper Drive- Thank you!!!!
Thank YOU for everything you do in our community, S. Seriously. You are one of the most generous people I know with your time and your heart. You make it easy for us to do something small and turn it into a collective big impact.
I do have to say that the mound you collected in your dining room was impressive by itself - and I know more nesties were still coming with donations. I can't imagine what that 20k+ diaper pile looked like in person.

I saw on the Diaper Houston FB page that there is an Amazon registry set up if you still want to donate. I have to travel for work this week, so that is the route I am going to take.

I agree! Good to see you, too!
Thanks for this link, more diapers on the way.
Oh and Rayskit, Caroline Collective does recycle.
We went through much of the trash afterwards and pulled out the cans and plastic.
I think we'll use them again ;-)
That's wonderful! Thanks for letting me know. My mom was annoyed that I made her take her empty in the car. LOL
Was very glad to be able to contribute. I read an article a couple years ago about low income families who have to wash DISPOSABLES to reuse because diapers are such an expense for them. I think about that all the time and know how important it is for the health of these kids to be able to have clean, dry diapers. Thank you for working so hard to help these families!
Yay! Now I can quit feeling guilty that I forgot my diapers when we had GNO.
Me too! Sending diapers now!
