What did you get your bridesmaids?

Originally I wanted to get them all personalized gifts that were perfectly attuned to their interests.

And then I ran out of time.

So far I have 2 girls out of 6 done.  I'm tempted to scap that and get them each a dogeared necklace or something.

What did you give your bridesmaids?

I was Beagle211

Re: What did you get your bridesmaids?

  • Custom jewelry to match their dresses, flip flops, some sort of bath soap, pashmina, and a cute bag to put it in.  I had 7, so I was a tad budget-conscious and also ran out of time.
  • I got them each a necklace and earrings from Macys.

I also got them a Vera Bradley tote, makeup bag and lunch bag that I ordered directly from the Vera Bradley website.  The bags I got were actually on sale. I thought it was something more practical than a bridesmaid bag with their name on it that would probably never get used again.

  • I also got them flip flops from Old Navy that were a pretty shimmery ivory.

  • I got them jewelry from Old Navy (believe it or not), flip flops also from ON and I paid for their hair (Meghan Cahill)
  • I got all of them earings and necklaces from Macys and rocket dog flip flops. Then two of them got funny shirts from Cafe Press that were Jersey related and two of them bring their lunch to work everyday so they got these really cool lunch boxes. I think that was it.

  • I got them matching earrings, bracelet, pashminia and a broach that they put on the sash of their dresses.  (I only had 2 girls), I offered to pay for their hair, only from FSIL, now SIL took me up

this is the broach (I can only remember what this looks like cause I love(d) it so much.  I should have bought one for me),

  • VS cotton (summer) robe. And then something personal for each of them. I remember that I got my MoH got a silver bracelet.
  • Okay, here's what I got so far.  They'll all be getting a pashmina as well

MOH (sister):  Massage at a day spa in Chicago ($50)

    FSILs 1 & 2:  Philosophy gift sets

BM1: Thomas Kinkade print (already purchased)

BM2: framed sketch of her doggie

BM3: framed sketch of her dog and cat.

  • Snoopy - that sounds great!  I love that you tailored to the individual.  I wish I had the time or energy to do that with 9 girls, but I ended up being happy with what I gave my girls:

canvas tote - i did an iron-on ribbon trim at the top of each bag in my wedding colors

ziploc bag of wedding day emergency supplies - floss, mouthwash, bandaids, advil, etc

    bottle of spiced apple wine

    pashmina

    ON flip flops

    pearl studs and this necklace

It was through someone I knew at work. She's a NYC-based actress that does it on the side.  As far as I know, she doesn't have an etsy or anything or else I'd give you her info.  She designed something for me based on me sending a pic of the dresses and since I know her work well, I trusted her 100%.  Probably not the way you want to go if you haven't seen her stuff.

I think based on what you said you have so far, your gifts are really nice and personal!

  • most of my girls had been in a bunch of weddings and had a lot of wedding (BM) jewelry so I got each of them VS satin button down PJ's and we wore them the morning of for pics while we were getting ready and then a pasmina (got married in November), a tote and something else I cannot remember.  Then for my MOH i took her to get a mani/pedi the day before the wedding so that we had some alone time too. They all still wear the PJs and so do I!

  • I got BM jewelry from QVC. It was diamonique, surprisingly tasteful and relatively inexpensive.  I also got each one of them a purse for the wedding and probably other things I cant remember.

  • Oh and I was just thinking...if you dont have much time maybe you could donate funds to one of their favorite charities or make a donation to a pet organization in the name of their pet etc. Something easy but thoughtful.
