Anyone ever buy a car from them? Would you recommend? Will they work with you on the price? My dad is in the market for a CR-V and I think their prices seem pretty competitve for the options he is looking for. TIA!
Re: Auto Lenders- NJ
I have. From the Voorhees location. Six years ago? I had a great experience. Good sales person, best price I could find for a low mileage Honda Civic. I liked them so much that I referred them to several people all of whom had good experiences.
However I returned last year shop for a family car. Had a sub-par experience. I called ahead to check what they had in stock. My sales rep straight up harrassed me by phone for a week before I could come in person. Once I came, he wanted nothing to do with helping me or fielding my questions. I had to track him down several times, even though I was the only person on lot. One time found him washing the windows of another car when I wanted to test drive something. It was the weirdest experience. I was turned off by the whole thing and bought a car elsewhere.
So take that and do with it as you please. When I looked, around this time last year, they had a million CRVs.
Thanks! Do you remember when you bought yours if they negotiated on the price? My dad is a never pay sticker price kind of guy and even though I think the prices I've seen are below Blue Book, if they are a no-haggle kind of place, he may be better off not even wasting his time.
The deal with Auto Lenders is "no negotiating". They price their cars based on NADA, which is weighted pricing data to account for regional differences in price. Kelley Blue Book does not account for this and therefore NADA pricing tends to be lower. I killed myself trying to find the best deal for the best car when I was buying 6 years ago and found Auto Lenders was the best for what I wanted, save for going through a private seller. I didn't have the patience to do the legwork last year as I trusted that they were still the best deal.
