Hey, congrats on your 5k times! I've noticed they keep going down.
That's awesome!
I'm thinking about signing up for the Race for the Cure too. I'm VERY slow, so I like large, anonymous races where I'm far from the last person.

Re: **Kaylee**
Thanks! I'm not looking forward to when I have a 5k that doesn't beat my previous time (I'm sure it'll happen soon.) Those 5ks sure are addicting though!
Congrats to you on your 5k a couple (?) weeks ago! Was that your first one? I like the larger races too, there are more people to pass which is encouraging

Thanks! It was my first 5k in a few years--two years ago I did the OKC Turkey Trot, but it wasn't a good experience (it was too cold, and I had a near-asthma attack about a half mile in and had to walk a good portion of it). So this one I consider to be my first "successful" one.
I've been looking at races--I want to sign up for a couple more this year to keep me going, though I will probably take a break from racing over the winter to try and avoid the cold-induced asthma thing again.

I can definitely relate with the cold induced asthma! My exercise induced asthma has improved so much since I started running (I hardly ever need my inhaler now.) But I think I'm still going to have problems when it gets colder, sigh.

A couple races coming up that I've looked into that you might be interested in:
-Among Friends in Norman on October 2. I'm not sure but I think this one is a smaller one. But it goes to a great cause. It benefits the Among Friends activity center for adults with special needs and disabilities.
-Monster Dash in Norman on October 29. I'm not sure about the size, but MIL did it last year and said it was pretty fun.
Those two might be on the smaller side.
- Tulsa Run on October 29. This one looks like it's about the size of the Race for the Cure.
