Can someone bring me up to speed on Castle?
I was only able to see it a few times last season, and I think I saw the very last episode where it looks like Beckett was shot at a funeral--but I thought this was to make it look like she died? I know I sound like I don't have a clue, so can someone catch me up for tonight's episode?
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed on Castle?
The latter half of the season had, along with the usual cases, Beckett and Castle working to find out who the "third cop" was who was helping to cover up Kate's mom's murder. Earlier in the season, her former partner was killed to prevent him from giving her information about this. In the season finale, it turned out that Captain Montgomery was that third cop, and he had made a deal that Beckett was allowed to live, as long as he kept the secret.
If you saw the finale, you know that Kate forgave Roy, and he was killed defending her. She also killed the main guy (a hitman named Lockwood) who was holding this over Roy's head, but at his funeral, she was shot by an unknown assailant while giving the eulogy, so someone else is apparently out there. As she was lying on the ground, before she lost consciousness, Castle whispered that he loved her, and then that was the end.
