I received an estimate on fence for our new yard from Fence Contractors of Iowa - my jaw is still on the floor - $19K
- 6ft fence
- 1 double door
- 1 single door
- aluminum (basic wrought iron look with double bar top)
- we do have a wide back yard (it is a pie shaped yard and funnels more narrow at the front) with about 400 total feet to be fenced.
Anyway - I have sticker shock ... in NJ our fence did not come close to this cost.
Anyone have a similar experience - fence company recommendations?

O.M.G. I don't have any help, but YIKES! That seems a bit insane!
Edit: Will Menards, Home Depot, etc. come out and do an estimate? It would be worth a call.
