Absolutely! I told my bf tonight that I put money on them winning. Don't know if I'll be right.. but my goodness, that group knocked my socks off!

A lot of the other groups were just "okay" in my opinion.

I haven't been able to watch it yet. But, I'm curious--who is the new female judge? I HATED Nicole, so anyone would be better than her.
I love Ben Folds, and Shawn is OK, so I hope the new girl actually brings something to the judges table than tears, dramatic pauses and "important" statements like "this is what this competition is all about." Yes, that's what ALL competitions are about--such an over-used phrase stating NOTHING.
I thought it was great! I think the judges are really good at giving actual feedback. I'm a huge Ben Folds fan!
I thought the family should have gone home...but I wasn't sure about the Cat's Pajamas they were so tight, but safe and I thought that Vocal Point was a little bit like a runaway train. I wish I could have had them do a show-down song to decide.

it's sara bareilles. and so far, i love her a lot. she has a really fun vibe, and right now i think she's trying to find her place, but NOT take herself too seriously and offer "sage" advice (a la on nicole whateverherlastnameis).

Well, I watched the episode last night and I'm in agreement with you guys--I LOVE Sara! Nicole isn't even in the same league as her--she was smart, funny, and gave great feedback. I agree that the panel is much more "professional" in my opinion now. I love that.
I really enjoyed Deliliah, and Afro Blue. Urban Legend...it definitely seemed like the raper is really their "star personality" and wonder how much versatility he/the group will have? I thought last night's performance was good, but I wonder how they'll do if/when they are forced to do more traditional songs. (I mean, mixing rap with pop is really a much "newer" concept.) They could arrange the songs differently or he could maybe switch to a more traditional a capella role of beatboxing or something like that--so far, they've intrigued me the most.
Delilah was the best but comparing this batch of groups to past seasons that had the likes of Nota, Committed, and Street corner Symphony, we were not impressed. Hopefully they'll step their game up.
ITA about the judging panel being better... Nicole was a terrible judge.
