It drives me nuts to see all these reality shows where people are in their cars frequently talking on their cell phones. For instance, RHONJ - I know that talking on your cell / texting is banned in NJ - and it seems like they are always having some really animated conversation on their phones in one hand and driving with the other. Not like a quick "honey pick up bread", but often some full out argument while driving in some highly populated area.
I realize that the show drama is centered around a lot of phone conversations, and probably worse, is encouraged by producers. Whatever the circumstances, it would just be nice to see them pull over or use some kinds of hands-free device (especially since a lot of them have really nice SUVs/cars). I realize their lives are much different than mine, and the cell phone thing probably doesn't even cross their mind - it would just be refreshing to see them be responsible once in a while.
Re: Cell phones / reality shows
I completely agree.
I also get annoyed with all the limo drivers I see going to and from the airport while talking on cell phones.
That's true, they do talk with handheld devices when they are supposed to. That sucks.
I'm slightly annoyed by the outrageously loud telephone and cell phone dial noises and button pushes. As though the buttons really make those loud noises.
And, it was funny to watch the series of Nip Tuck and see their cell phones evolve from flip phones to candy bar style phones and then to the iPhone.
I hate when people on a reality show get a phone call, or make a phone call, and it is on speaker phone. Like the viewers would not be able to keep up with anything if we didn't hear even the most lame calls.
I'm mostly talking about Teen Mom. I don't need to hear on speaker phone your friend say "Hey what's up?....Okay well call me if you need anything". Really, I can follow along without it.
