The whole scene didn't go as I had dreamed it would. I wanted to surprise both of them by giving them a onsie or something but it played out way different.
I found out Saturday night...after I had a beer and after I bought some Belgian beer I have been craving for months. I was so excited to get home and drink it! We were driving home from visiting the ILs and I got these zings of pain in my ovary area. It had happened Friday morning too so I was curious. My last period started on 8/2 and I hadn't had one since. Since my cycle had regulated the past two months, after two years of craziness, I was a little concerned but didn't think it meant pregnancy. I thought it was just my cycle acting up again. We stopped at the store and picked up a double pack of tests just in case.
I got home took and had the test in one hand and the bottles of Belgian beer (Framboise & Peche) I have been dying for in the other. I told Andrew I should probably drink the beer before I tested! Haha. I didn't of course. I wasn't expecting a positive though. I took the first test and as it saturated through I only saw blanks so I was a little sad and finished my business. When I was done and looked up again I saw the two blue lines! I was in shock. I walked out of the bathroom saying, "Oh my God, Og my God" over and over. Andrew asked, "Are you going to make me a happy man right now?" and I showed him the test. He was ecstatic. Suri was right there and she was happy too. That night Suri and I made a list of names we liked. It was nice sitting with her and getting her involved.
I took a test again Sunday morning because I was still in shock and in disbelief plus I was convinced the one beer I drank on Saturday afternoon messed with the results. It was a defective test but both lines showed up....chopped in half and light but they were both there. That of course had me on edge. Yesterday, after work I bought a pack of digital tests so it would literally spell it out for me that I was pregnant. I truly didn't believe it until I took that test and saw the word "Pregnant".
If everything is calculated correctly then I am due on May 8th. Another May baby for me.

CONGRATS, Kasi!!! I love the story of how you found out! And I'm glad that Suri can be involved in everything ... she's a great age, and should be a lot of help for you.
And you lucky girl, you'll be on leave in the summer!!

I will have a live in nanny! Yay. Suri will be the bottle feeder, the diaper changer, the babysitter....it's nice having a older kid! Just kidding. I keep messing with her so she'll probably be annoyed by the baby before it's even born.
It's been a long 2 years.

My beer is safe! It's in the bar waiting for me (assuming it doesn't have an expiration date). Andrew doesn't drink so it's ALL MINE in May!

I have to hold on to my beer. Sorry! I have lusted for months after it only for it to be cruelly taken away! J/K but I am a little sad I can't have it now.
May is so crowded with bdays for me. I feel like practically everyday is someone's birthday that month so now I get to add to the crowd. I am going to be even more broke in May now! Maybe the baby will be an April baby. I can handle that.
