V-E-N-T!!!

We are (read: were) supposed to close this coming Friday. Our loan commitment is supposed to be ready by tomorrow. However, we still have not requested survey or estoppel letter (these 2 need to come from the title company, who we have not heard a peep from -- and our LO who should ask them for it has not done so). We are also still waiting on HOA approval as well as the seller disclosure our agent requested from the seller's agent last week (again, haven't heard a peep). I feel like everyone is dragging a$$, including our realtor who happens to be my MIL (joy!). The anxiety is driving me nuts and I simply cannot focus as work!

Re: V-E-N-T!!!

  • I'm more concerned that you are set to close on a house and you haven't seen the seller's disclosure.  What if something is there that is of concern??

I completely agree. Our agent asked the seller's agent for it a week ago and she has not responded. She has already once told us not to harass her for things (i.e. calling her more than once in one day). We are afraid that if we put any pressure whatsoever, they will find a way out and we really want this house, plus we've already paid over $1,500 in inspections, appraisals, etc.

  • That is weird.  We got to see the disclosures before we even put an offer in so if there was anything of concern we could take it into account on our offer.  Also, haven't you released your inspection contingency at this point so you really can't do anything even if the disclosure is terrible?
