I just got off the phone with my mortgage lady (technical term, I know), and it looks like our mortgage application keeps falling through. It turns out that they can't use my bonus as part of my income because I haven't been at my job for two years (I started February 2010). This makes it so my debt to income ratio with all of my student loans is too high to qualify DH and I for a mortgage. The whole time they have been telling me that it would be fine and with the right paperwork it would all work out and I would be an excellent candidate.
It sucks because I have a great bonus at my company, and my CEO was even offering to guarantee it on paper for the next few years. My bonus alone is 37% of what my annual salary is.
Of course I got off the phone with her and started crying while I was standing outside of my office....I have calmed down a but now but I am still freaking.
I need all your good vibes and thoughts that they are able to figure something out for financing, I do not want to lose this house!

Thanks so much everyone. Right now it isn't looking good. They are holding firm on the 2 year thing, even though my boss guaranteed my raise and my bonus for three years.
They are a mortgage broker, so they go two a whole bunch of banks but it seems to be a common thing to have a two year guarantee. I just get so upset that this guy made me feel like everything was perfect, and lied straight to my face. If he said it would be an issue I wouldn't have gotten my hopes up or the sellers hopes up, I would have sat tight for a few more months.
My parents are being so helpful saying we will do whatever we have to do. I am trying to stay hopeful but it isn't looking good.
I can feel all your positive vibes and wishes, thank you all so much, your support means the world.
xoxo.
