My co-worker and I are trying to figure out a gift for our boss's daughter (neither of us have kids). She's turning two tomorrow, and we're all going to lunch to give her a little party - so cute!
We're debating something educational over a toy of some sort. Any ideas what a two year old might like? Or, as a Mom, what would you want your kid to receive as a gift?
Re: Gift for a two year old?
Books are always welcome.
Taryn loves her Pop On Pals (Toys R Us), Play-Doh, baby dolls.
Target (and I'm sure other stores) have a plastic drum, but is also filled with other instruments. Taryn loves hers and they only run about $20-30.
I bought Taryn this Leap Frog Phonics game for Christmas. I bought it online, but I'm sure Toys R Us or Target would have it as well.
I love to give art supplies since kids often receive toys, stuffed animals, and games and I never know what to buy.
We are currently obsessed with the Crayola Color Wonder line. It's the type of markers, paints, etc. that only show up on the specific Color Wonder paper. It's an ideal gift for the parent because there is no risk of marker and paint all over the walls or furniture-- they can walk away from their child to do dishes or tend to something without worrying about that. I know when we received Color Wonder supplies for Natalie, I was so thankful to the gift giver!
I know they have a travel case for use in the car which is good if the parents travel a lot.
2 is the around the age where kids start becoming interested in numbers, counting, letters and colors. I would get something educational, maybe something made by Leap Frog.
