Since we all know "the terrible twos" don't start, or end, at two, what is your biggest challenge with LO's behavior right now? How are you dealing with it?
What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh?
Has LO developed their own style? Is it similar to yours, H's, completely different? Will LO fight you to wear/not wear certain things?
What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall?
Anything else?

Alex is in love with spitting right now. Just in time for cold season, yay! She's constantly blowing spit bubbles, or just spitting on things, floor, windows, etc. It's really annoying because other than constantly telling her No, gross, don't spit, yucky, I can't think of much else to stop it.
What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh?
She reads to the dog. She'll come up to him and sit down with a book, she clears her throat first, with her hand over her mouth, then reads her story, asks Sam if he wants more "More Sam? More? Okay" and grabs another book to read him.
Has LO developed their own style? Is it similar to yours, H's, completely different? Will LO fight you to wear/not wear certain things?
She's a girly girl, and I don't know what to do with that. She always wants to wear "a princess dress" which just means any dress. I hate dresses, so it didn't come from me, and I'm pretty sure not H either. Most often I can still get her to wear what I want her to, but she will fight me occasionally and we have to find something else. It's worse with pj's, for some reason that's always a battle. I have to bring out the pj drawer and let her pick what she wants out of it.
What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall?
We already did a fair and that was great. She loved it.
Anything else?

How timely! I picked her up from daycare yesterday and the teacher pulled me aside to tell me that Jane had kicked someone in the head and hit someone that day - and she's never done that and is she getting aggressive at home, etc. AWESOME.
What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh?
Hard to explain but I've always made this face where I open and close my mouth and make a popping sound (think like a fish face kinda) and come in closer and closer and then kiss her. Forever I've done this. This week she started doing it back to me randomly and it melts me. SO cute.
Has LO developed their own style? Is it similar to yours, H's, completely different? Will LO fight you to wear/not wear certain things?
She's young enough to wear whatever I want to put her in still - thankfully
What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall?
Go apple/pumpkin picking. See her with her baby cousin again at T-giving. They'll be 18 mos and 10 mos.
Anything else?
Since we all know "the terrible twos" don't start, or end, at two, what is your biggest challenge with LO's behavior right now? How are you dealing with it?
Our biggest challenge is playing with other kids. She doesn't understand that children smaller than her are "real" kids and not baby dolls, so she tries to pick them up or be rougher with them and just doesn't get it yet. We are working on the concept of gentleness when we have playdates and stuff, and I think/ hope/ pray she is getting it.
What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh?
Her two new phrases are "awesome!" and "woaaaah, COOL!" Woah cool especially cracks me up because she usually says it about something that is not particularly cool at all, like a napkin ring.

She's an accessory kind of girl-- she loves shoes, purses, headbands, beads/ necklaces, etc. She doesn't typically show a preference with clothing choices-- she's fine with a hoodie and jeans or a skirt, but she loves to bring along her purse and rock out some sparkly shoes. I suppose this is how I am since it's definitely not DH's style, lol. What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall?
Pumpkin patch, apple orchard, raking leaves and jumping in them, and maybe going to a Red Wings game.

Zac wants what he wants when he wants it - if he doesn't get it, or it gets taken away then I fear the people down the street will hear his screaming and call CPS on me, because I must be beating him. I try really hard to just suffer through the crying and distract him because I don't want him to think he will always get his way, you know? But it is hard.
What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh?
He will try to make a mean or mad face, but only ending up smiling and it makes me giggle so hard. He also wants to do things on his own, it doesn't necessarily make me laugh, but I do find it totally cute. Like his shoes, he says "shoes on" or "shoes off" and wants to do that task on his own. If we try to help he gets so mad, until we say, "Can I help?" and then he responds with "Help," and lets us.

Right now Zac doesn't want to wear shirts. Not so much that he takes them on or off, but when we are changing him, he protests the shirt until we shove him in it. As far as style goes he has mommy style when mommy dresses him and looks like a homeless person when daddy dresses him.
What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall?
The usual, outdoor stuff before it gets too cold.
"Where's Zacie's nose?" He points to it.
"Where's mommy's nose?" He points to it.
"Can we rub noses?" He puts his face to mine and shakes his head so fast, all while laughing, so our noses rub.
Too cute!

Jack has started throwing tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants. I either ignore him, or raise my voice and telll him to "Stop screaming", which usually makes him stop. Oh, and he just learned "Shut up" from the kids at his babysitter, so every once in a while he will say that. I just look at him and say "What did you just say?" and his eyes get really big and he says "Sorry mama" and then comes and gives me a hug. lol he KNOWS he isn't supposed to say it, the little brat!!!
What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh?
When he is hungry or thirsty, he opens the fridge and rummages around in there. When he finds what he wants, he yells it out as a way of asking if it's ok. "Mama! Grapes! Yogurt! Milk!" etc
Has LO developed their own style? Is it similar to yours, H's, completely different? Will LO fight you to wear/not wear certain things?
He wears whatever we dress him in, he doesn't care too much at this point. He gets really excited about socks, shoes, and coats for some reason.
What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall?
Apple/pumpkin picking of course! And playing in the leaves!
This made me LOL. Next thing you know, she will be dressing Sam up! "You like this dress Sam? Ok?" hahahaha
It must be a boy thing at 18-20 months. :: pulls out hair ::

When she doesn't get what she wants - HUGE tantrum. Like Trickey, you would think we were torturing her. She will get upset and just sit there, then start banging her head on the floor... Distraction sometimes works.. Also get this attitude when all she wants to do is be held. And we are biting sometimes at day care. What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh?
DH acts goofy around her and puts random things on his head. So she started to put random things on her head as a hat. And this morning while I was getting ready, she was combing her hair with a comb I gave her to entertain herself.
Has LO developed their own style? Is it similar to yours, H's, completely different? Will LO fight you to wear/not wear certain things?
Still wearing what I put on her. I do give her a choice of shirts and whatever one she goes towards first is what we wear. What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall?
Apple Picking. Going to try to go to a fair. HalloweenAnything else?
Got her pattern and fabric for her halloween costume. Going to start cutting everything out tonight!
Oh and yeah had some odd dreams last night where I peed on a stick and got 2 positives. Uh I would count that scary. But my last period was really odd and mostly brown and very light so I am going to pick up some tests and test tonight to ease my mind. So not ready for more kids now....

Since we all know "the terrible twos" don't start, or end, at two, what is your biggest challenge with LO's behavior right now? How are you dealing with it?
I HATE when he's done with something and he just throws it. I am trying to get him to just hand it to me if he doesn't want it...but it's a very slow process!
What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh?
He makes the funniest faces and I just love how excited he gets about different things!
Has LO developed their own style? Is it similar to yours, H's, completely different? Will LO fight you to wear/not wear certain things?
Luckily, he's still just wearing whatever we put him in.
What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall?
I am excited to go apple picking and eat some good food there! We already did fair and he didn't really care one way or the other about the animals, but I think he enjoyed the elephant ear that I shared with him!
Anything else?
In the past couple of weeks he has started signing back at us...and I LOVE it! He's got milk, water, and all done (but he doesn't get when to use all done) figured out and now I'm working on adding some more in.
Since we all know "the terrible twos" don't start, or end, at two, what is your biggest challenge with LO's behavior right now? How are you dealing with it?
Liam has been having daily meltdowns and tantrums if he does not get his way! If he has something he shouldn't, we ask for it and he throws it! He now knows what timeout is, and hates it! However, he will sit there, even if he cries. Once we get him out of timeout, we tell him that we love him and explain again, why what he was doing is wrong/hurtful/etc. I think its a matter of being consistent in how we handle it and hopefully he will grow out of it. And of course, the child is an angel at school, he strictly has this drama at home. Oh, and diaper changing has also become extremely difficult.
What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh?
He is constantly cracking us up. But over the weekend, Liam started saying "Hey Babe", which he obviously heard from me and DH. On Sunday, DH was coming in from grilling, and Liam looked at him and said it, proper context, etc. Hysterical!
Has LO developed their own style? Is it similar to yours, H's, completely different? Will LO fight you to wear/not wear certain things?
Liam doesn't seem to care what he wears. I pick it out, and he rocks it!
What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall?
So excited for the fall festival at a local farm. He loves animals so can't wait to see them and go pick out pumpkins.
Since we all know "the terrible twos" don't start, or end, at two, what is your biggest challenge with LO's behavior right now? How are you dealing with it? The girl's getting fresh on occasion. Nothing brutal, but will go to do something she knows she's not supposed to do, and will stop and look at you and then do it anyways. We stop her and tell her "no we don't do that because ____" Her response is to run up to us and either try and give us hugs or to say "hi! hi!" repeatedly. Turns out the worst punishment of all is if we don't say hi back.... it drives her nuts!
What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh? She'll spin around in circles singing to herself. She also likes to come up and tickle our toes and laugh. She's also started saying "love you" back to us when we say it & has started occasionally saying it out of the blue to us on her own- melts my heart
Has LO developed their own style? Is it similar to yours, H's, completely different? Will LO fight you to wear/not wear certain things? I still dress her (or at least pick out her clothes), so she definitely has my style. Whenever I bring home clothes for her, DH comments that everything is my style & that if they made it in my size, I'd buy it for me too. (Probably very true) She's not always super excited to get dressed in general, except for shoes.... she wants them on all. the. time. If she's barefoot or in socks, she'll find shoes and bring them to us saying "on? on?" until she gets them on.
What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall? Taking her to the farm to do the cornmaze, petting zoo, and pumpkin picking
Since we all know "the terrible twos" don't start, or end, at two, what is your biggest challenge with LO's behavior right now? How are you dealing with it?
He wants to climb on everything. He wants to be on top of the table/counter/desk and can pretty much get himself up there by climbing on stuff. I'm just trying to keep stuff off the counters and tables that he wants to get to and getting him down when he does it.
What is something LO started doing that makes you laugh?
He literally does something everyday that makes us laugh. It's the best part of having a toddler. Yesterday DH and I were watching a movie, Jax went behind the couch to play, but suddenly came running out and he was totally naked like it was nothing and started trying to ride his tricycle. Hilar.
Has LO developed their own style? Is it similar to yours, H's, completely different? Will LO fight you to wear/not wear certain things?
No, he wears what I put on him still, but he does LOVE shoes. It was basically his first word and it's the first thing he wants to wear.
What are you looking forward to most to do with LO this fall?
Pumpking picking, carving, dressing for Halloween with his cousins who he adores.
