I'm in a cooking rut & want to know what other DC nesties are having for dinner. Bonus points if you link to recipes!
We're having veggie chili which is basically our regular chili with more beans & adding corn instead of beef.
Re: What's for dinner?
i'll be putting both of these on my blog tonight but some of what's on tap chez cheeky this week (because my bff made them last week and both were a hit at her house):

We are also having chili. I was away for all of last week and haven't hit the grocery store yet, but had all the fixins to throw together white bean chicken chili in the crock pot this morning. I'm going to run out in a few and grab some stuff to make a salad and some cheddar jalepeno cornbread.
Yum.
Truthfully I have no idea. I'm kinda in a sad/depressing mood and I told DH I'm going bumming after work which means shopping and eating out for 1.
Tomorrow if I'm out of this mood (doubt I will be) then it'll be grilled tuna steaks.
Eating it right now - lemon greek yogurt and carrots
But lunch was chicken tortilla soup which was mmm-mmm good! I am loving this weather and that it's FINALLY soup season. Other fav soup meals:
I hope you feel better soon.
We are having french onion soup. The recipe is in my blog
and I also have some tortellini with pesto sauce
Country Living has a recipe for pumpkin and ricotta stuffed shells which sounds amazing, and also uses up some of the tons of homemade tomato sauce I've got in my freezer.
Someone posted the recipe online already, which is pretty amazing, considering my issue of the magazine came in the mail Saturday: http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/food/2011/09/14/pumpkin-ricotta-stuffed-shells.html
dinner chez cheeky
Tonight we had whole wheat pasta with sauteed veggies and turkey sausage, marinara, and parmesan. A staple for us.
BUT, last night we made this Pioneer Woman fig-prosciutto pizza with arugula (I subbed goat cheese for the mozzarella) and it was REALLY good. Plus, DS helped us make the pizza! It was fun.

Last night we split a grilled sirloin steak, sliced, with rosemary mashed potatoes and green beans with caramelized onions and herbs de provence.
The other night we discovered spaghetti squash tossed with butter, garlic and goat cheese and it was awesome. I'll blog it tomorrow or so.
We're also on a fish kick and have been playing with cedar plank salmon and mahi mahi.
This won the Pillsbury Bake-Off in 1998... and I only recently rediscovered it! My mom makes it all the time.
