May I vent?

I have been in dry dock as far as my creativity and desire to sew goes, but today I got totally inspired to make this.

I haven't been so excited to do a project in a while and I can't get out of the house to get a couple of the things I need.  This morning (at 4:30 no less) DH came in and said his car was acting up (it's only a year old!) and asked if I needed my car.  Of course I said, "No". Super Angry Of course!!!

This just ruined my whole day and he is going to pay!  Dinner out or jewelry? Huh?

  • I have totally been in the dry dock for a long time, and I'm starting to feel motivated, but I have some major craft ADD. I want to do this, and this, and this, and this...all at once! Bummer about DH's car, hopefully it's nothing serious!

  • I hate cars. We had to do 4 repairs on DH truck in the last 2 months.  Every time his car wasn't right, he took mine. :( Of course it was the exact same day I needed to go to the fabric store! So Annoying.

I would call a girlfriend and see if they can't take you! LOL Sewing is important. My mom saved me a couple times. She hates not having the materials to finish a project.

I'd like to add that it's tough to want to sit at your sewing machine when your hands feel like that of an 87 y/o woman. I'll be happy when this carpal tunnel goes away next month-ish.

Mah, that's really hard! Hopefully you get to feeling better quickly after LO is born. Do you have a long list of things to sew yet?

  • I vote jewelry.  Lasts a lot longer than dinner :).  Hope you get your creative juices flowing again soon!

Mah482, my BF had the carpel tunnel when she was pg.  She said it went away pretty quickly after she had her DS.  Hope the same is true with you!  She found that bracing it off and on helped, as did heat and gentle ROM exercises.  It stinks because there isn't much you can take in terms of meds that are safe during pregnancy.

I've been making some cloth diapers for the baby. The sewing isn't so bad, but using my snap thing is. DH talked me into getting fabric to make the baby a fleece blanket for hunting season (camo on one side, hunter orange on the other), but that won't take long. The rest are just little things I'd like to finish before LO arrives.

I have an OB appointment tomorrow and I'm hoping the dr tells me to buy some super sexy braces for my hands.

Ouch!  That must be annoying!  Hope it clears up soon.
I have 3 pinched neves in my neck/back and when I am doing something constructive is when it either doesn't hurt or I just don't notice (it's been a really long time).  I feel like I am sticking my finger in a light socket.  I can't imagine having that discomfort on top of (possible) PG discomfort.

Anyway, the tow truck came and now they are picking me up with a rental so I am off to ACMoore!!  Woohoo!

I had carpel tunnel a bit too, but not too bad. But then our LO decided to come 4 weeks early.... well that has certainly halted my crafting! Im in the middle of 2 quilts and I have so many cards I want to make... and so many other sewing projects.... and with all the feeding LO and washing up and trying to keep the house in some kind of order.... I don't seem to have any time to craft! My big problem is is I keep buying fabric on fabric.com for projects but I haven't had time to make them.... so I have a HUGE (well huge for me!) pile of fabric on the dining room table! Going to have to figure out how to get some crafty time in... Im missing it!!

    I am so exhausted though!.....

But having a LO is the best thing in the world.... even when he does spit up all over you!

My pile of fabric on the dining room table keeps growing, too. I'm trying to make it smaller.
