So, what did everyone think? I was really excited about this show, and I was left very disappointed. And what about that horse?!?!?!?! Why did they throw in a freakin horse? It is so random and weird. I think the show had such potential and maybe I was too excited, but I just don't know if I can even watch it again.
Re: 2 Broke Girls - spoilers
I thought it was really funny.
I think you have to give it a break. A pilot is difficult, they have to introduce the characters and set up the dynamic.

I think the horse thing is just that stereotype about rich girls having a strong connection to their horses. Even though it's irrational to want to keep it, that's one of the only things she feels connected to that she can hang onto. Like, maybe a normal person having a dog?
I enjoyed it.
I was also disappointed that all the funny stuff was in the commercials but when you have something new that is really being pushed by the production companies, that's what you get.
I have a 3 episode rule after last season so even if I was "meh" about it, I'd still give it 2 more weeks. Like PP said, the pilots are always tricky since they have to set up the backstory/dynamic and all that jazz

I like this rule. I will definitely be using it with this show. I thought the lines were funny, but delivered stupidly or something.
That's not going to happen. It pulled 19 million or so in viewers. Even considering that it probably got the bulk of that from the TAAHM lead-in, that's a stellar number. I read that Two and a Half Men got a whopping 27 million viewers. (approx.)
I thought it was okay and will give it a chance for a couple more episodes, but MH hated it, so I'll have to record it and watch it when he's not around. The laugh track did drive me batty though. Hopefully they'll lay off of it a little in future episodes.

"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."

I really didn't care much for the show. I just thought it was kinda "there"; not really funny, but a couple of amusing moments. That's pretty much it, just wasn't a big fan.
