1. I had a dream last night that I had the baby, except it was a boy. ![]()
2. The funny part about the dream is that I'm holding the baby and playing with it, and then all of a sudden it dawns on me "wait! It's a boy! I'm supposed to be having a girl! Emma is expecting a little sister!" ![]()
3. I've been having some "fears" that the baby is a boy, even though that would honestly be fine. I'm just so set on having a girl now it'd be quite a shock.
4. I think I ate too big of a bowl of Rice Chex for breakfast because my stomach hurts. ![]()
5. We went on a tour of the birth center last night even though we've obviously been there before.
6. I thought Emma would really enjoy it, but she seem uninterested for the most part. ![]()
7. It was still exiting for me though. There were five little babies in the nursery and we got to oggle them for a good five minutes. ![]()
8. We were going to take Emma to the cider mill this past weekend, but it didn't happen. ![]()
9. I started making lasagna last night and got all the way to the part where I was starting to layer all my ingredients. It was then that I realized I didn't even have any shredded cheese. Total fail. ![]()
10. So I wrapped up the sauce, the noodles, the filling.... and guess what we're having for dinner tonight....after I go to the store.
Re: Ten Things Tuesday
1. DH is sick with a sore throat/congestion. I'm pretty sure I'm getting it too.
2. As of today, there is a 30% chance of rain for Saturday (when we're going to the UofM game. Really hoping it doesn't rain.
3. My boss is still out because his daughter was born last Wed. There has been no mention as to when he will return.
4. Since my boss has been gone, I've been doing pretty well catching up on some work that I've been avoiding for over 6months.
5. DH may be going to Las Vegas for a conference next week. It's for work, and since getting his dad to pull the trigger on anything at all is like pulling teeth, we probably won't know if he's going for sure until Sunday.
6. We had a busy weekend and got absolutely nothing done around the house.
7. I'm so glad we don't have birthing class anymore. It was really hard getting up to Commerce by 7 every week.
8. I do have a BF class next Tuesday, though, so I have to again anyway.
9. We just bought a chest freezer over the weekend. It should be ready to pick up by the end of this week.
10. I now need to figure out/make a list of what kind of freezer meals I want to make for when the LO arrives.
This reminds of me my nephew, my sister was adopting and had two baby boys fall through. The third baby (before it was born) said they had a late ultrasound and showed it was a girl. My sister sends me a pic mail at 12:30 in the morning, the baby had just been born and there wasn't any caption, just the picture of a naked baby. I kept thinking (I'm half asleep), this sure looks like a boyl! Then I get a text (that I should have gotten first saying), "you're not going to believe this, it's a Boy!"
My brother is getting married on Saturday, so I'm praying it doesn't rain, hopefully it won't for the both of us
1. I'm "baby sitting" a co-workers kid in my office right now...
2. She is happily eating cheerios and looking adorable right now
3. I have had three people compliment my shirt today... this is the same shirt that my husband made fun of me for buying... he knows nothing about style
4. I'm pretty excited to eat my leftover shepard's pie for dinner tonight
5. I think I'm going to make spaghetti squash to go with dinner tonight!
6. Dinner might be a lot of carbs, but what can you do?
7. I really need to stop eating so many carbs... I love carbs...
8. I'm thinking about ordering some plants and bulbs online so I have flowers that bloom next spring.
9. I'm having the hardest time deciding what I want to order.... They are all so pretty!
10. I think I want to start a new quilt tonight...
Serendipity3, South Beach, Miami, FL 2012
1. Can't believe my baby brother is getting married in 4 days!
2. I am so excited, DH, DD & I are all in the wedding.
3. Hopefully we are able to get a few nice family pictures.
4. I haven't been feeling good lately and DH has been a HUGE help, taking on extra responsibilities. I love him
5. I came home from work the other day and DD was wearing an Easter hat. I told her "I like your hat" and she said "Thanks!"
6. It melted my heart that she said that without having had me tell her to say "Thank you"
7. It is beautiful outside today.
8. I hate when I decide to run out to lunch to get something else for lunch and then it wasn't that good.
9. I should have just ate what I brought, ugh.
10.. Whew, I did it! 10 things!
1. I went to TJ Maxx at lunch and bought a few things.
2. Because of #1, I now have a Jodi Watley song stuck in my head. Thanks TJs.
3. I really should stop slowly bleeding money, so I probably shouldn't have gone to TJs. But I need things for fall.
4. Endless.com is having 20% off on fall boots. I had bought a pair at Zappos for full price, which I'm returning today since endless sent them to me overnight for $30 less.
5. I made a huge pot of chili last night and froze some of it in individual containers. I feel so productive.
6. My car needs new tires.
7. We said we were going to get new tires on it before it snowed, last year. Oops.
8. I still don't know where the pickle icon is, so here's a
instead.
9. Every morning the moms at the bus stop in our neighborhood park next to each other so they can talk through their car windows. Yes, this means they take up the whole road. They have to move for me and DH (& who knows who else) when we drive through, you know, on the road. Every morning. Hey, I have an idea....
10. We didn't go to the cider mill last weekend either.
1. Im way too tired today, and I shouldnt be, I got almost 8 hours of sleep last night.
2. I had Los Tres Amigos for lunch. It was really good.
3. I went to the Ren Fest with DH on Sunday and we had so much fun.
4. When I get home from work if I remember, I will put a pick of me and DH in my siggy of us dressed up for the Ren Fest.
5. I actually came home from the Ren Fest with money in my pocket. That never happens.
6. A lady at the pre-registration booth at the Ren Fest was bored. When we got there she called us over and asked if we had tickets yet. We told her no, and she sold us two tickets for $20, normal price is $19.95 a person. I was excited.
7. I really need to finish the baby blanket I am working on. All it needs is the ribbon trim done, its been weeks.
8. As much as I am in love with the baby blanket in #7, I think Im going to give it to a friend for her baby shower in a few weeks.
9. DH has the day off today. Im jealous.
10. Im having my sister's over for a bonfire on Saturday. Im looking forward to it. So I also hope it doesnt rain on Saturday.
This just reminded me that I bought some tulip bulbs from Costco. I better figure out where FI put them, then how to plant them, so that I can maybe get them planted this weekend. It will be so nice to have some more tulips come up in the spring (there is a small bunch of tulips that still come up that were planted YEARS ago, before I got the house). Tulips are probably my favorite flower.
1. Having a great b-day so far. This weather is perfect!
2. I came home from BSF to find flowers on my porch from DH.
3. This is my 1st b-day since I've been w/DH that he hasn't been here for.
4. Had an AWESOME time at my Women's Retreat over the weekend!
5. The weather up north was perfect, sunny all weekend, and it's so gorgeous over Portage Lake.
6. I went kayaking across Portage Lake Sat. during our free time because a gal wanted a Dr. Pepper & the camp only had Coke in their machines.
7. I'm glad I went w/her, we stopped at a little store that had free wine tasting.
8. I tried wine & actually found one I liked! I've never liked wine, I always make a face.
9. The stars upnorth, w/no 'big city' lights shining is just amazing, I could have stayed outside all night!
10. Had a blast Sat. evening playing Catch Phrase, yeah, I laughed so hard I cried a few times. One time was my own doing & I'm still laughing about it!
1. I haven?t wanted to be at work yesterday or today.
2. Thankfully it was worse yesterday so today isn?t as painful.
3. DH put our crib together last night.
4. We?re trying out a new house cleaner tomorrow. I feel bad that I?m not doing it myself.
5. I?m going to have to pick up the house for her tonight and get out all of our cleaning supplies.
6. It?ll feel SO nice to have a clean house that I didn?t spend all day cleaning!
7. I?m also excited that things are finally being put away and I?ve bought some home d?cor/rugs/etc ? makes the house feel more like a home!
8. There?s still a TON I want to do before baby gets here.
9. Too bad I think about #8 than actually act on. Humph.
10. I think we?ll have enchiladas for dinner tonight. I need to stop and get shredded cheese to make that happen.
I've been working on this....though as my list states, haven't actually made anything yet. But I have a list and some receipes. Wanna trade?
We did go, and it was great, but there were so many people there. We stood in line to get a bag for apple picking for nearly an hour - then another 20min for the wagon ride (there's no way my pg a$$ was walking to the back of the orchard after waiting in line for an hour, lol).
We didn't even go to the cider mill part because there was another probably 1hour line to get inside. Since I'm not supposed to drink unpasteurized cider anyway (& wasn't sure if it was or not there), I figured I'd just buy doughnuts at meijer.
I would love to trade, but as of now I would be trading you my list of nothing, lol. I don't think that many of my own recipes would freeze all that well, so I'll be scouring the internet & blogs over the next week. I'll let you know when I make some progress!
We went for the first time in a few years! My suggestion is get there early, we got to Blakes at 9:30am and were able to get out in the orchard right away and by the time we got done picking apples and getting the cider and donuts the parking lot was full. I was so happy we got there when we did, plus the bee's were still sleeping I think! I hate going to the cider mill when it's warm out because there are bee's everywhere!
The bees weren't too bad for us either. They're usually horrible! We totally should have gone earlier in the day, but it just wasn't an option. Next year for sure though - I'm not looking forward to entertaining a 1 year old for that amount of time!
Even though it was so busy, it was such a gorgeous day (Sunday) that it was still just so great to get out there.
We went on Sunday too, the weather was perfect! Next year will be very different for you! That is part of the reason we went so early , taking DD in a crowded place did not sound fun and plus she could run around in the orchard without bugging other people. And of course we were already up and ready to start our day, the lazy day sundays don't happen anymore.
We went to Yates a few weekends ago and I am 99% sure the label said their cider is pasteurized. Just an FYI for you pregnant ladies out there
