hate the lyrics or some other aspect?
I was listening to my mp3 play yesterday and Big Pimpin came on. I love the music and baseline for this song but just can't listen to the words. They are pretty awful.
What are yours love/hate songs?
Re: Songs You Love---- But
I used John Meyer's "Daughters" song for our father/daughter dance at my wedding, but I hadn't realized that the song was about the dad's actions screwing up her life, and there was a whole verse about she was "left cleaning up the mess he [her father] made". I still really liked the chorus, so I just had the DJ cut out that whole verse. :-) I always wonder if the people at the wedding wondered why I would have that song - since, obviously my dad didn't leave us! I just figured they didn't know what the song was about either. lol.
Most of the "booty" songs I like are pretty inappropriate (P*ssy control, anyone?).
Keeping with my "gross and creepy" theme, P*ssy control is one of my favorite songs (eta - ok not "favorite" songs but one I always get giddy when I hear come on... I don't know who sings it nor do i own it or anything, lol). Not something I want Maddie knowing about until she is 30, but I love that a woman would be as crass and dirty as a man in a song. Some parts of it are gross (like the action during thattimeofthemonth) but her even being so bold to put that in makes me laugh. The song is like revenge for every time I've felt my head getting pushed down and though - WTH, I'll do it if I want to, when and how I want to, and you'll be grateful!
As for songs with lyrics I don't like but sound I do like - there are a lot but I can't think of the titles and artists right now. When I don't like the words (Humpty Dance and the one you posted Almond), I just change them a la Weird Al Yankovic.

MB - Prince sings that song. :-)
I'd have to say that "Alcohol" song by Jamie Foxx. LOVE the beat but the lyrics make me sick. :-/ I usually jam out for about half of it then I'm like ugh...
Oh yeah. Grossandcreepymichelle went to that song, "You suck" about a girl telling her guy to go down on her. oops.
I do also like P*ssy Control, now that I've cleared my brain. I think the "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh p***y control... unh..." beat is fun to wiggle your body to. It has the slithery snake like bit when he is singing "ahhhh" mixed with the dat da da dat da dat da da dat da dat da da dat da dat [dun dun dun du-uh]... uh-unh" piece to it so you can fluctuate between fluid movement and the hard beats.

I like both of those songs! Those were just fun to dance to when I used to go clubbing.
I did a Google search, looks like it was on a band named Consolidated's album and it featured the "Yeastie Girlz"...
Here are the lyrics... http://www.songlyrics.com/yeastie-girls/you-suck-lyrics/ I think I
a little reading them.... I'm getting old!
Woah. Yeah.
There aren't many things that make me blush, but yikes. Those lyrics did.
