Is it a friend's funeral, or going to a funeral to support a friend?
It would depend on how close of a friend for me.

A current social friend and has been for several years, not BFF's or old friends.
Like others said, it would depend on who the friend was. I have a handful of people I talk to weekly that are my close friends. If it was them who passed or a close family member of theirs, then yet.
Otherwise, I think it would really depend on the friend and how much it would cut in to my vacay.
