PIP: 1000 words

PIP a picture that's worth a thousand words. Explain why.

we had a small issue with our readings - one line was missing. I tried to reprint at the hotel, but for some reason it wouldnt work. The three empty shot glasses are the three shots I took while waiting to get a hold of a friends husband (who is the one with soda water) he saved the day by bringing a copy of our readings to the church!

This picture was taken right after our ceremony. The first thing I said to my sister was "do I have makeup running down my face?!" My sister and cousin are fixing a little smudge with our grandmother's hanki, which was my something borrowed. There's just so much family and history and emotion in this picture. I love it.

This is a photo of me, my mom, my sister, my two cousins, and my best friends joined together in prayer. Right before this moment I got very very nervous. My mom gave me a hug and reminded me that God was in control, and if I was nervous I should take my worries to the Lord. One of my friends lead us in prayer, the photographer took a shot and then joined us. It was a peaceful and calming moment before the best day of my life. :) The photographic elements aren't that great-but I don't care.

I don't think I've ever felt as many emotions all at once  as I did in this moment. Everything came together in that moment; the moment we held hands, smiled at each other and walked up to the alter together. Right then I knew I was right where I should be and standing with exactly who I should be standing next to. And that after 8 years, we were doing what we were always meant to do. It's really an overwhelming moment to remember and I'm kind of welling up thinking about it. What can I say, I'm a sentimental fool

I love this picture. I had no idea it was even being taken, but it is a perfect summation of how I felt that entire day. This is probably one of my favorite pictures ever taken of myself.

I love this pic of us during our first dance. Even though you can't see my face you can tell I'm happy and H looks so happy. It's a candid that really caught that "wedding love" moment I think.

  • I have two, but with good reason.

The first one is when we were reading our vows. We wrote own our own and this is when DH was reading his. This is the moment his voice cracked and he started to tear up. He was holding my so tight at this moment, I genuinely thought he was going to break my knuckle:

The second one is of one of the Best Men's toasts. He had gotten married 6 weeks before and started his toast out with, "We've only been married for 6 weeks so I don't have much advice..." This is his wife's reaction to that statement:

My mother HATES (as in absolutely abhors) the Chicken Dance. My husband is a 5-year old and LOVES it! For our entire 2.5 year engagement, he nagged and nagged and nagged my mom about doing the Chicken Dance. She said hell would have to freeze over before she would ever do the Chicken Dance.

Now we have blackmail. Big Smile
