Ha! (and how I keep shoes 'til they die a violent death)
I have these shoes. I've always had a pair of shoes like this to wear with pant suits and pants. All different brands - Bass, Naturalizer, whatever. I even have a similar (but different and in better shape) pair in brown. These are black.
And they are deceased. In addition to being stretched out so my feet lift out of them when I walk, look...
And yes, I'm embarrassed. But I didn't realize they were this bad 'til recently and I hadn't had a chance to go shopping.
Yeah.
So I finally had time tonight after the family law seminar I attended, though with traffic I got to DSW just half an hour before it was closing. I'm the fastest shoe shopper ever.
And I found these! They're Etienne Aigner.
I love oxfords!!! I was looking for another pair like my old ones, but when I saw these and they worked with my pants and were a good height and only $60 and incredibly comfortable, I was sold.
And now I own them!
And the ha? I went to text E "Best shoes ever!" after I bought 'em... and accidentally texted my secretary instead! Oops.

I too keep mine forever. I wear size 11 shoes so it is hard to find nice looking, affordable shoes that will last. Oh that reminds me, I should be getting a nice sized box any day now from DSW.

Break an ankle, possibly but I won't break my neck:) One of my students doesn't understand why I'm tall today ( most of my 6th graders are taller than I am - even the girls). I took my shoes off and he told me he prefers I keep them off, lol!
I thought about telling him that was sexist but refrained. That's a whole other discussion and I was joking anyway.

I wear a 12. I can NEVER find shoes in any store but Payless, so I have to custom order every pair that I own. Well, except for my sneakers - I buy those in men's sizes. Yeesh.
Those shoes are super, super cute! RIP old shoes.
