9/19 Two and a Half Men? (spoilers)

I really never watched the show before, but had to see the season premiere.

It was funny! I loved seeing Dharma and Greg! That was priceless. And Ashton was good. Reminded me a little of Kelso from That 70s Show.

  • I never watched it either, but watched last night, and I also kind of liked it.  I hope Alan tells his mom to shove it since he sold the house himself so she gets nothing!

  • We watched parts of it because I was going back and forth between THM and DWTS.

I thought it was funny. I love Jon Cryer and I think this new combo will work.

Definitely going to watch it again.

  • I watched this show during its first 2 seasons, but not really since. I tuned in last night out of curiosity and I actually thought it was awful. It was SO sitcom-y, like almost sitcom parody to me with the laugh track every 2 minutes and I guess I just think it all seemed forced.

  • My H and I have watched this show for awhile and it was just meh. It was definitely very sitcom-y.

  • Awful. Even the actors seemed uncomfortable, it all seemed forced, and Ashton needs to stop playing Kelso. We will give it another couple of weeks since we've watched the show for years, but both DH and I thought it was terrible.

I agree. I think they tried TOO hard with all the cameos, and the laugh track, etc. Everything seemed a bit forced - not enough chemistry.

Its almost as if they need to have a few cocktails and try again.

I will still watch a few more weeks to see if it gets better.

  • I will watch again and see if things calm down and the actors start to work together better but I wasn't that impressed yesterday.  There were some cute laughs but overall it wasn't as good as I hoped.

  • I haven't watched this show for several seasons but checked out the episode last night just to see how they handled the transition. Not much has changed, same raunchy humor, the brother is still a loser and the kid still farts. Not worth my time.

  • I haven't watched in years, but tuned in to see the change over also.  Everyone knows what happened, so I don't understand why so many people are upset with last nights show.  It was different and maybe a little awkward in places, but I don't think it was terrible.  I will probably watch a few more weeks before I make my decision.

  • We just tuned in to see what was going to happen, I thought it was pretty lame. I never really liked the show that much anyway, but it seemed like they just wanted to get back at Charlie Sheen...with all the comments at his funeral and then the dumping/vacuuming of his ashes we were like, geesh.

  • I watched it with Charlie, and after last night, I don't think I will ever watch it again.  The only role Ashton is good with is Kelso.  It was painful to watch them attempt to sell this new idea.  Charlie made that show, and now without him, it just doesn't work as well.

I somehow missed that part. But wasn't the guy that delivered the ashes Pete from D&G?

I thought it was too sitcomy too. I'm not a big Ashton fan though so that didn't help.

  • Flat out HORRIBLE. So disappointing. I used to LOVE "Two and a Half Men" and last night made me hope that they cancel it so it can be remembered for what it was and not destroyed by this new fake combination. This is going to be like the destruction of "Scrubs."

Come back, Charlie!!! I forgive you!

  • I'm going to go against popular opinion here: I liked it. I think Ashton is funnier than Charlie was. Yeah it's still a sitcom...but I like sitcoms, so that's ok :)
  • Well i liked it too. Ashton is not bad at all. Atleast we can give him a chance to settle down in charlie's shoes.
