Re: Readers
What do you normally like?
If you're at all interested in non-fiction, Unbroken is amazing, it reads very much like a novel. I've let a few people at work borrow it who normally wouldn't really read that type of book and they loved it.

After the girls here raved about it, I'm reading the first book in the Outlander series and it's VERY good.
I'm a fan of Elin Hilderbrand and Kristin Hannah.
I also liked the Hunger Games series that Sarah B recommended and I think a few others here have read that also.

2012 Reading Challenge
I have read all of the Outlander series except for the last one. I am participating in a library challenge so as soon as I have my 10 books done there (have 6 so far) I will probably pick up and read Echo.
Hunger Games sounds good. I read mainly fiction and stay away from most westerns but anything else seems to be workable.

2012 Reading Challenge
Hunger Games are soooo good. I read all 3 of them in 5 days. They may be hard to get at the library though since they are so popular right now.
I'm currently reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and it is really good. I have never read a vampire book or a romance novel before (and this is both - paranormal romance genre). I'm on book 7 of the series and started right before we left for our trip if that tells you anything.
Next up for me is IT. I'm terrified since I'm so scared of clowns but NBC is doing it for their Stephen King Oct read and I'm looking at it as a possible shock therapy to get over my fear. (Either that or I won't make it through it.)
I say whatever you read make them short books so you can read Echo and we can talk about it.
Oh and after I read IT I think I'm going to try Unbroken as recommended by Jenn. NBC ladies rave about it.
I loved IT but I don't really have a fear if clowns. Stephen King is so good at taking some normal everyday things and helping to make them super scary.
I have a feeling Echo will take me some time even when I do finish my library challange because of my work schedule I have a hard time getting to read very much and DG is so descriptive that sometimes I have to reread paragraphs just to make sure I got it all.

2012 Reading Challenge
I agree with hunger games it's great, I've also been reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and I'm shamelessly sucked in.
Also if you like Stephen King, the Dark Tower series is excellent.
