Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I called 911 today.
I was coming home from picking up new boots and going southbound on the highway. On the northbound shoulder were two people (male & female) who were out of their car walking down the road. I realized the woman was trying to get away from the man but he caught up with her. (I have slowed down at this point, but not past them yet.) He started punching her repeatedly in the face. I sure as hell wasn't going to stop but I felt like I had to do something so I called 911 to report it.
Overkill?

Not overkill. He could have killed her. I hope she's ok and I hope he's in jail!

I don't. I was hoping someone would call me but I don't think that's how things work. I didn't want to hang around because we were in the middle of the highway so it would be obvious that I called the cops.
Yeah I figured that's probably what happened. It's so awesome that you called; I wonder how many other people just drove by thinking someone else was going to call the police.
