Good morning/afternoon!

Hey everyone, how is your hump day going?

QOTD:  Do you have any "beginning of fall" traditions (like the fall equivalent of spring cleaning)?  What are you looking forward to this fall?

****

Tonight I start packing tonight to go to Italy!  We leave Friday morning, but I feel like I want to pack tonight so I have a day to see if I forgot anything and to look for stuff that we can't find.  We can't speak to our cleaner so we're not really ever sure where she puts stuff.

QOTD:  I don't have any traditions, but I think I need to start something this year with Stef.  I'm looking forward to the wedding and honeymoon, of course!  I'm definitely looking forward to being able to eat again without worrying about my dress fitting (although I can't go too crazy with that).  If I was in the US I'd be super excited about all the pumpkin spice lattes and other assorted stuff, but that doesn't happen here.  They do have pumpkins here, so I'm definitely planning on experimenting with stuff (see how that ties in with eating whatever I want above?).

Re: Good morning/afternoon!

  • Afternoon!  Another day of work, but we're going rock climbing tonight, so that will be fun!

QOTD:  We don't have too many "fall" traditions here, but back home I'd go apple picking and make pies/apple dumplings, and we'd always carve a pumpkin or two.  I think this year I'm more excited about Thanksgiving (I cook a dinner for the team here), and Christmas!

  • Afternoon (well, evening now, but why not). Work has been unbelievable recently, but I have annual leave tomorrow for my birthday. Am getting afternoon tea with a couple of girlfriends and am really looking forward to it!

QOTD: I started a tradition in college called 'Fall Fest' where I invited folks over to enjoy traditional fall treats (pumpkin cookies, cobbler, warm apple cider). I love it, especially the cider, which I leave on the store simmering with fresh cloves and cinny. It makes the whole house/apartment/flat smell wonderful. We skipped it last year because we had a small studio, but I am thinking of re-starting the tradition.
