Health & Fitness Wednesday

Haven't posted this in a while.

I haven't lost anything for like a month...BOO. I also haven't worked out AT ALL. So clearly those 2 might be connected. I need to go to the gym. BADLY.

But i have lost a total of 25 lbs since May! Although i'm still over the dreaded 200 lb mark, but getting very close to being below it :) I'm excited to be a healthy person again. I just have to get back on track with working out and stop eating ice cream lol

Re: Health & Fitness Wednesday

  • I haven't gone to work out since Friday. I've also been eating bad, went to red robin last night, we had chilis on Saturday. Still haven't lost any weight. But I did wake up feeling slim today.

  • I'm pretty sure I've gained weight over the last few months. Probably has a lot to do with having candy in the house and eating a ton of ice cream over the summer. I need to get the diet in check - I'm certain that's what's doing it for me. I'm still at the gym 4-5 times a week.

I'm really going to try to meal plan for the week on the weekends. Since DH starts grad school soon and we'll be at home more on the weekends so he can do homework and watch college football - I should have no excuses why I can't sit there and meal plan while I watch tv.

Unlike Deb, I've been feeling very not slim lately.

  • Some days I feel slim and some days I feel blah.  I have been doing really well with walking Mason every morning, even when I work several nights in a row... although I don't really have a choice lately because DH has been traveling so much.  I don't expect my parents or my brothers to walk Mason (they watch him overnight while I work and Kevin is OOT).  We do a 2-mile walk around the neighborhood so it's better than nothing, and it does make me feel a little better.  Last week I even mustered up the energy to also do 30 mins of yoga every day before work (again, even when I worked several nights in a row).  And I really think it makes me feel like less of a blob.  I don't weigh myself so I can't go by that.  But it has been my goal to exercise on the days I work several in a row (I have always been good with going to the gym on days off), and it seems like I'm doing a better job with that so I must be on the right track!

  • Oh my gosh ... don't even talk to me about fitness.  I used to work out 5-6 days a week.  Now I'm lucky if I work out three.  I'm not gaining pounds per se, but I'm totally flabby and out of shape.  I don't know what to do about it.  Working 6 days a week (10 hours per shift, on my feet!) is my excuse.  But excuses don't create hot bods!
