Wednesday!

Half way there!

DH is traveling Sunday-Saturday, so today marks half way through his trip. Woohoo!

And we have another house showing today.... We have been on the market 2 1/2 weeks and this is probably showing number 7 (not including the open house), and I let myself get just a little excited every showing. I know I shouldn't but oh well. My cousin and I are going out for Mexican for lunch (mole burrito! YUM!)

How is everyone else's week going?

Re: Wednesday!

  • I'm so tired.  This is the first week of our new Monday/Tuesday volleyball league schedule and I haven't gotten used to it yet.  I really need to make an effort to get to bed earlier in general; I was so tired last week that I passed out on the couch at like 8:30pm on Friday while watching a movie with DH.

Methinks 6ish hours of sleep a night ain't cuttin' it.

Glad you're seeing so much action with your house sale, LadyE!

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • GL with your showing! Lucky #7!

This week is going well. I'm glad shows are airing again. Smile I love me some TV. I'm meeting up with my close college friends Saturday, one of which I haven't seen since February!

  • Lady E, that is awesome.  We officially went on the market on Monday, but haven't had anyone come by yet.  Is that normal?  How far along was your first showing?

I went to dinner at a friend's house last night which was nice.  I love her and she has the cutest baby ever, even though he threw up on my freshly laundered jeans.

Tonight, I have to re-paint a doorway in the house that DH got some spackle on and then pack for tomorrow.  Tomorrow is DH's thirtieth.  I am leaving for Worcester at about 8:00 with little Doug and big Doug following me.  I am really missing MH this week, so I am really happy to see him and give him his gifts.

I got him a new watch that he has been talking about forever, a 25 watch case, and a new super soft Phillies shirt.  He is a watch whore and already outgrew his 10 watch case, so I got him the bigger one.  God help me if he outgrows that one.  This is the watch I got him, not really my taste, but it is what he wanted:

  • MrsC, I am SO glad to have my shows back! DH travels 50% of the time, so it's nice to have all of my shows every evening. But it sucks when he's home and wants to watch something else but can't because the DVR is already recording 2 shows at once Embarrassed

Pup, our house went on the market on a Thursday (so actually almost 3 weeks ago). We had a showing Saturday, open house Sunday, showings on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Last week we had showings on Wednesday (I think?) and Saturday. Then a showing today and another open house this Sunday. I don't know what is normal. Our house is waterfront, so I don't know how many of the showings are just for the curiosity factor of the location.

My baby was the kind that puked on everyone I know lol
  • I thought your house was the one on the water.  I told DH that there was someone on the interwebz that from Boston that was also selling her house and he was like "oh, is it nice?  Do you want it?"

I am hoping that we have someone coming through soon.  They haven't even put the lock box on the door yet, so if I come home from work today and it is not there, I am calling them.  The listing was just completed yesterday online, the day before it was not 100%, so that might be part of it.  The other issue is because it is a corporate relocation, they need to go through the relocation company as well, which I think adds some time to it.  I am ready for the whole thing to be over.

I had to vacuum at 7:45 this morning because the dog chewed one of his bones and made a mess all over the carpet.  I wanted to kill him.  I can't imagine what you are going through with a DH and kid to clean up after too.

You're telling me.  He has a thing for watches and shoes.  And yes, I am sure he is straight.

  • LOL, pup, we're located no where near where you want to be. But if your DH feels like commuting over an hour every day (ok, maybe twice that if you consider morning traffic) then let me know! Haha

Did you ever get new pictures up?

Things are much easier when DH is home. He is a total neat freak, I love it! This afternoon my cousin is going to come over and play with DS so I can vacuum and clean the bathrooms quickly. I pick up the toys and such every night. But it is so much work.

  • The realtor actually just called to let me know he is bringing in a professional photographer today to take pictures.  I am interested to see what they look like.  I showed my mother, MIL, and two friends yesterday and they all thought the pictures looked good.  I guess I am just overly anal.

1 hour + is a little far for DH, oh well.

We solved that by having 2 dvrs in our house - one in the living room, one in the bedroom.  It's mostly because watching 12 hours of football makes me want to kick puppies, but it totally serves multiple purposes.

I got home from Milwaukee yesterday, and now I'm on vacation. The trip was not fun - traffic was really slow at our booth, so we ended up bailing on the conference early and booking an earlier flight home. We were supposed to land in Boston at 11 pm last night; instead, I was on my couch by 7 pm. I'm sure people at work won't be pleased,  but whatever.

Today, we're  laying low, because I am ti.red.  Tomorrow, we getting a rental car for the weekend, though, so we'll be mobile! We want to hit up the outlets, Castle Island, and a few other places. Plus, I want to (finally!) see The Help, so we'll do that at some point, too.

My DH watches all the games ALL day Sunday....and now that we have the DirectTV Sunday Ticket...oh boy!  And I can't just got shopping like I used to do, until I find a job.  This is going to be a long football season Smile

We don't have a tv in the bedroom, just one lonely tv in the house and it's in the living room. Maybe in the next house we'll have multiple televisions so I can solve our DVR problems.
