s/o What Ridiculous Crap Did You Do?

As a kid? Teen?

When I was 3 or 4 apparently I spit on a nurse who was giving me my shots.

I snuck out of the house a few times when I was 13 or 14.

Re: s/o What Ridiculous Crap Did You Do?

  • Most of my childhood rebellion involved me being a smart ass. (I am my mother's child). I did leave to go to a birthday party when I was 16 right after my aunt told me I couldn't go. I was a douche about it when I got caught too. I think I might have told my aunt that her opinion didn't matter because she wasn't my mom.
  • When I got my ears pierced as a little kid, I kicked the lady when she did the first ear. She told my mom she wouldn't pierce my other one if my mom didn't stop me from kicking her again. I was a pretty good and quiet kid though.

In high school, I snuck out so much my screen wouldn't stay on my window anymore. I would leave my mom a note though that said something like "Mom, I'm sorry I snuck out. I'll be home later." just in case she ever came into my room, I knew she'd be less pissed if she at least knew I snuck out and didn't think I was kidnapped or something.

Most ridiculous thing I did was: In 10th grade, the 11th grade physics classes were going on a field trip to Busch Gardens. A few of my friends and I made copies of one of our 11th grade friend's field trip permission slip. I gave it to my mom and told her that they didn't have enough juniors going so they were inviting the 10th grade Bio classes. We all went to Islands of Adventure that day instead. Would have been awesome, except my mom's best friend's daughter did go on the ACTUAL Busch Gardens field trip and my mom asked her friend to pick me up with her daughter when the bus dropped us all off. I got a furious phone call from my mom when I wasn't on that bus.

  • Very creative with the permission slips Sikes.

Besides the Tom Hanks incident and getting busted writing on the bathroom wall in fifth grade I never really got into trouble. I partied a lot when I first moved to FL but I had always made plans to stay the night out so I never got busted.

    Tom Hanks incident....?

  • I stayed the night at a guy's house.  (I had a lot of "boyfriends" at 18ish...including DH.)  He lived about 45 min away in Ft. Walton.  I had fallen asleep during a movie at his house, and just couldn't drive home.  We didn't mess around, nothing like that.  I was just tired.  I actually tried to call home, but no one answered.  My parents were soooo upset with me.  I got a "talking to"....I don't remember if I was punished.

The first road trip I went on with (now) DH....I think I was 19 and still living at home.  My mom flipped out!  She didn't think it was appropriate for me to go away with a guy.  I argued that if she was afraid we were going to have sex, we didn't need to go out of town to do that.  Though obviously true, it wasn't a very nice thing to say.  She was screaming at me.  I did end up going.....and went on several after that.  (We are road tripping fools!)  And then moved in with him a couple years later.  She didn't like any of it.

  • I bit my Great Aunt May on the leg as a baby. I didn't get in trouble b/c my mom thought she was a b!tch.

I was a totally a good girl up until 7th grade. My friends thought it was funny to dare me to say curse words. Then I met a boy.... I never got caught but I had several makeout sessions in the school auditorium. At 14 and in 9th grade I fell head over heels for a Senior (who was a total d-bag, no surprise there). The worst punishment I ever got was b/c I snuck away from the football game with him and had my first sexual encounter. My mom found out about it b/c I wrote about it in my journal (real smart, right?). I was spanked with a belt for the first and only time and I was grounded for 6 months. My mom made me take everything off my walls, shelves, no tv, radio, books, nothing. I even had to bag up my clothes- all I had was school uniforms. I served every day of that 6 months.

So I got smarter! At 16 I started the "I'm staying with this friend and that friend was staying with me" routine. Our parents had to know but we never got in trouble. I would come home at 7 in the morning stinking of beer and puking. I never got in trouble. I think my mom just let me be b/c I was a great student.

  • As a little kid I mostly got in trouble for smarting off. I never did anything bad at school though, I just talked too much. I once kicked a hole in my bedroom wall and melted my bedroom carpet with my hair dryer in middle school. My mom and I really butted heads until my early twenties. We were always really close which could turn around and backfire on us. Once we got in a true fist fight when I was in 8th grade when my dad was OOT. In high school I skipped class, skipped whole days as a Senior often and left campus for lunch. I never snuck out, but my high school boyfriend snuck in a couple times which always involved a lot of planning because of the house alarm. I went to parties out on the beach and in the backwoods and once took crazy pictures that my mom found that got me grounded for a month. Summer before college I went on an impromptu "road trip" to La Vela in Panama City when my parents were OOT, had multiple parties at the house and my dad only found out about one, but never told my mom. The biggest thing I ever did though was when I was 19 and living in the dorms but at home for Christmas break. I made up an elaborate plan that I was staying with my girlfriend in Pensacola, but I was really spending the weekend with my boyfriend. Somehow my parents found out and they didn't let me go back to the dorms until February and I got my cell phone taken away and my car unless I was driving to work. That was pretty much the last "bad" thing that I did because I felt so guilty about it afterwards. I was a pretty bad kid, but I never did anything that could hurt me.

  • Sorry, those stories will never be written down.
  • I was a total wet blanket. I was a horrible liar. THe big things I got in trouble for were having someone in the house when my parents weren't home as I mentioned... and when I was a senior, I went to six flags with my prom date the day after, but I didn't want to tell my parents (long story, it's not that they wouldn't have let me go with a guy), so I told them I was going with my best friend. But I sucked at that sort of thing, and my BFF and I were sort of hanging with different ppl and not talking as often, so I didn't think she'd call my house, so I didn't warn her that she was my cover............ she called. lol. I actually didn't get in trouble, there was just a conversation about how it was a bad idea... which I already knew. lol. My dad just gave me "the look" and said "Don't ever. EVER. do that again." And then I went up to  my room in complete shock that I was still breathing.

  • I got completely puke-face drunk on a school trip to Europe when I was 15.  I'm talking drunk to the point where I am pretty sure I blacked out.  We drank vodka and Bailey's and smoked cigarettes.  When I was done puking out my guts and sleeping off my blacked-outedness, the school chaperones made me call my parents.  I said "Mom, I got drunk".  She said "Oh, honey, did you have some wine?"  And I said "Yes ... yes I did".  I'm not sure she or my dad know what really happened to this day.

  • I stole a dumb bouncy ball from Kmart when I was 7or 8. My dad made me go in the store and announce it at the customer service desk.

In 9th grade, a friend came home with my after school. I knew my parents had plans that night, so we waited for my parents to leave and called a cab. We wanted to go to Publix, dumb. Thirty minutes later, cab pulls in the drive way and my mom pulled in behind the cab! I got a big talking to and she took my friend home. Lost all trust from my parents and it sucked.

I was 17 when I graduated, so my parents took away my curfew after graduation. Sometime between graduation and my birthday (a month apart), I didn't come home one night. I stayed at a guys house. I never went to sleep that night. At 630, I thought I would head home. My mom went into work late that day. I think it was to wait for me to come home, ugh. I feel sick, to this day when I think about it.

I did a bunch of ridiculous crap with DH, but not willing to share that on the internet.

  • The question for me would be more along the lines of what crap didn't you do? I never got arrested or pregnant and I always kept my grades up, so my mom and I can laugh about all my rebellions and crazy teenage stunts now.
