BWLO: what do you use? what did you use? what would you recommend?
(saw this come up in the gift post below and I have given it absolutely no thought, so I'd love some tips!)
Re: S/O diaper bags
I have a Ju-Ju-Be diaper bag and love it. Fits cloth diapers well. Many pockets. And it is backpack style which I love. I love for long outings I can have lots of things in it to distract her while I finish errnads.
Now though I don't always have one on me. I will have dipaers in the car. May have a few toys / snacks in my regular purse. But still use the diaper bag to hold everything in the car.

But as he got older we learned that a backpack is the way to go. We got one with side pouches for bottles/sippy cups, the middle is great for diapers, clothes and toys and then the front pouch is great for my wallet, keys, phone, etc.
Also, I think DH's like the backpack sling over the shoulder vs. the satchel/man purse look.

16 read! my read shelf:
I've gone through about 10 different bags and hated them all. The JuJuBe that Moorigan is talking about (packabe?) is what I want next I think.
Right now I'm just using the cheapy 31 organizer and it's the best I've had for our needs.
Our crazy, wonderful life
I got a Bumblebag from TJMaxx for Alex, similar to this
It worked great, but it was a diaper bag. In the past few months I've been using a 31bag pocket tote for just Alex, and it's much better. However I'm figuring on switching to just a regular old backpack for this baby. I'm going to want my hands and shoulders free for chasing Alex, and hopefully wearing Cori. I just can't figure on buying another diaperbag now that I've gotten out of using it.
yep the packabe (though not in a cute print since I got it at a store that was closing and got a great discount but they only had one)

This is the one I registered for. A girl at our church had it and I've been envying it for over two years now...

I also want to get DH one from Dad Gear, a backpack style. I missed them on BabySteals for half off and now I'm kicking myself for not getting one. I've been watching online for them since.

I recently bought a Skip Hop Duo Deluxe for the next LO and have already been using it. I use it mostly as a purse now since I don't need to lug around too much for Kodi. For Kodi I had a Sherpani diaper bag from REI that I hated. The shoulder strap was really uncomfortable and strangled me.
I haven't really found any diaper bags that work well while wearing a baby. It would be nice to not have any straps that interfere with the straps of the carriers but then that would leave what, a fanny pack? Yuck.

My Blog of Randomness - Pocketful of Roses
My boring blog
I have a JJ Cole. I like it and don't at the same time. It has a lot of pockets, but when she goes to the sitters during the week I don't feel like there's enough room for her clothes (we drop her off in her jammies), food, a few toys, shoes, and diapers/wipes. Now that we've had it for 10 months, it's starting to wear on the bottom.
I like how easy it is to wash up, hang on the stroller, and the pockets.
I'm trying to decide if I want to get another diaper bag or use a backpack for Abbie.

This is the bag we registered for. It's a LOT bigger than it looks, and nicer than it looks here. It's big and should have plenty of room for cloth diapers, etc. It's extremely plain/neutral, so DH will have no problem using it either, and it will go over our shoulders.
Turns out, my SIL (who also uses cloth diapers, for 2 kids) has the same one and it works well for her. So I'm sticking with our decision at this point. I didn't want to start with an expensive bag and change my mind, although they are cuter.
Practical all the way.
