I'm home sick today
It's only 7:30 here and I'm bored out of my mind.
And of course, I'm looking around the place thinking, "wow, I have all of this found time, I could get so much done"
Re: Lord, I'm bored.
Just be glad you get maternity leave. Not everyone has that option.
#1 12.11.11
#2 10.23.13 EDD
why are you out already are you on bedrest? i would have hated to waste the two extra weeks milo waited to come out.
Amer you're due next week right? I hope everything is ok!
I am debating whether or not to go out on my "leave" (I use quotes because it's unpaid) next week or try to hold out. I am absolutely exhausted but the truth is, there is no medical reason (as of now) for me to go out. DH and I talked about me working half days, so I may see if my doc will sign me out for that.
I'm on week 2 of being home and slowly going crazy. I'm just trying to keep busy by getting baby things ready and getting the other 2 kiddos on some type of schedule.
Lachute- I saw it mentioned in another thread, but I had to chime in and add my "I love Milo's jacket" comment. Super cute.
dear tammy,
sit your ass down, and do not let that babycome out early.
xo, lachute
ditto.
oh, there is much sitting that happens too. I just hate feeling trapped in this house. Doctor took me off bedrest but I don't feel comfortable traveling with the kids like this. So...I just stay at home, clean, do laundry, watch movies, and play with the kids.
Thanks Jess, everything looks good so far-- baby is healthy and moving his way down!
Dang, I didn't think my level of boredom would interest people.
I am due next week. My company does not have an actual maternity leave policy, so there for I am on my own. The first two weeks will be me using up all my vacation time, and the next six weeks after that will be 100% unpaid. The reason I decided to go so "early" is because my job is a little more then just desk work-- I was having to climb in and out of a helicopter and I was alternating from day shift to night shift.
Jess, I feel you on how hard it was to make this decision, but I think you just gotta go with your gut. I still waffle about if I went out too early. Trust me, if I had a normal 9-5 desk job, I would still be at work! However, with my job, I could have started my contractions and gotten stuck in Cape May. It was a risk I just wasn't willing to take.
What the what? A helicopter? Are you a medivac EMT or healthcare professional?
She has the best job ever. She works for a news channel. But when she got pregnant my first thought was I did not want to see her up in the air at 9 months pregnant flying over a 10 car pileup 60 miles from home!
LOL, thanks Ooodster. I am a camera operator for a news helicopter.
checked and replied.
That's so much more exciting then my desk job.
Technically, I'm "working from home". I went in on Monday and everyone was all "WTF are you doing here??".
And Amer- thats pretty awesome.
