Tires?

Any good places to recommend for buying and putting them on? We are preparing for the big drive to Chicago and the mechanic said everything looks good on my car except the tires. If location helps, I work in MoCo and live in Arlington.

(No time for any internet deals-- I need to get these on within the next week.)

Thanks!

    We usually go with Sears.

We also do sears.  Good selection, service and price.  We've also had good luck with Firestone/bridgestone for DH's car.

  • I am also in need, and have heard very good things about Costco so that's where I'm going.... (are you a member?)

  • There are two tire places on Lee Hwy between Glebe and George Mason.  I've used them both over the years and while I don't love either they're fine.

Costco also gives you free balancing/air fill (I think) for the life of the tires.

We got ours at Sears during a 4 for the price of 3 deal

  • I have had tires done at Sams and Costco for years.  Costco did a great job on my old car and when the wheel/ tire warranty runs out on the new one I'm sure we'll be back to buying tires there.  They're also very efficient- very quick to put them on and align once you choose the tire- and they won't try to upsell you or charge you for 9 million small things like many tire places (coughNTBcough) do.
