Re: Waiting for the clear to close....

  • When is settlement? We got the clear to close 3 hours before our scheduled settlement time but because of a "computer glitch" we were stuck at the title company's office for 5 hours.

I hope things go more smoothly for you!

  • It's not until Friday. The only thing we are waiting on is the USDA approval which our loan officer expected back on Monday and well now it's Wed. Once that comes in we should have our all clear. But the wait is torture as you well know! Wow 5 hours! Ugh!

  • Girl - I am right there with you.

We were going USDA; then we had a non-compliant septic-bank refused to fix, bank w/n go 50/50, bank would not let us escrow-SO, we had to switch to 203k loan. We were supposed to close tomorrow, now we're supposed to close 9/27...and now it might be pushed back a day or two...

    ARGH!

    I need a glass of wine, u?

Crossing fingers everything ELSE goes smoothly from here on out for us both!

  • We are waiting on USDA and our LO has been such a POS I called our office myself & they said they received the package the 14th, not assigned yet.

We have to close by the 30th or pay some type of penalty to BOA IF they accept to extend our approval.

LO said they sent it the 2nd...then he told me he never said that!

  • We were supposed to close on the 15th and were informed the night before that we have to wait for some more stuff from the bank. We're hoping that they can get everything together in time to close tomorrow.

  • Ours was sent to USDA and the end of the day on the 9th. Here in fl it takes on average 5-7 business days. Well today is day 8. Ugh. And YES I need a glass (or2or3) wine!

  • Yes, it is very nervewracking, to say the least!! We didnt get the clear to close on our new house until 1pm (we were sitting in the closing for our old house)....which was only 2 hours before our scheduled close! But, it all worked out just fine. :-)
